"Okay. So, me and the boys are having a little get together party to celebrate the drop of our new album later tonight," Ricky said as he stuffed his face with cereal.

I groaned. "Nooooooooooo."

Alex laughed and shook her head.
"I'm guessing you want us out of the house?" She asked, grabbing an orange.

Ricky moved his head side to side.
"No. You guys can stay. It would probably be a good idea that way you can meet my band mates and get to know them since they'll probably be around a lot."

I sat up in my chair.
"I can't. I'm going to visit Ange tonight and catch up, so I'll probably end up staying there for the night since it'll be late most likely, and Ange is overprotective."

Ricky nodded, putting his bowl in the sink.
"Yeah, tell him Chris and I said hi and so do the others. I've been meaning to talk to him but I've been busy and stuff."

I sighed. "Same. Work has been taking up a lot of my time."

Alex plopped down on the floor at my feet.

"You know there is a perfectly open chair right there, right?" I glanced at her. Alex just shrugged and cut a slice of orange out.

"Oh well, the floor feels nice and cool. I swear you guys have it 100 degrees in here." Ricky and I laughed. "Anyways. Why don't you just ask Angelo for a job at The Black Casket?"

I hummed at Alex's words. Rubbing my jaw, I leaned back and thought.
"I don't know. Maybe."

"I doubt Ange will like that. I mean, I know he's your brother and all, but I can barely put up with you and I'm not home 75% of the year." Ricky joked.

I glared at him and flipped him off.

"Real funny, Olson. Don't you have some masculinity to go catch?"

"Bye, guys! I'm on my way to Ange's." I shouted as I walked outside into the cold.

"Byyyyyeeeeee. Be safe!" I heard them chirp.

I adjusted the small backpack on my back as I walked down to the simple black Honda Civic in my driveway. Once inside, I tossed the bag in the passenger seat and started the car. I hooked up my phone to the stereo and hit shuffle on my music.
The End by Blue October came on and I silently jammed out to the song talking about how a dude lost his mind and murder his wife who was having an affair, the guy who was screwing his wife, and then himself in the end. Yep. Story of my life.

It took me about 20 minutes to get to Angelo's. When I pulled in, I saw the front light already on and his dumbass standing out in the slight flurry of snow. Taking a deep breath, I grabbed my bag, turned off the car, and sprint for the porch.

"Cold?" Ange laughed as I shot past him into his house.

I glared.
"Yes. Now give me a hug before I decide to lock you out there."

My brother smiled and hugged me. I returned the hug.

"So how's life?" He asked as we sat down in the living room.

"Good. I'm suppose to get a new roomie tomorrow. How about you?" I replied, sipping the hot coco he had waiting.

"Great. The shop has been getting more and more customers so that's great. So new roommate, huh? Who is it?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. All I know is it's one of Ricky's band mates. He didn't say. Oh. By the way, the guys told me to tell you they said hey."

Angelo smiled. "Tell 'em I said hey too. I miss them but I'm happy where I'm at in my life now. I'm doing so much better."

I gave a soft smile. "You are. The difference is clear."

"Yeah, the road life just wasn't for me, I guess." Angelo yawned.

"Tired already?" I joked.

"Hey! It's nearly midnight. I have work tomorrow!" He defended.

I chuckled. "It's not my fault I was late."

"Bullshit. You've always been late. Even the day you were born, you were late!" Angelo sassed.

I laughed. "It's not my fault I wanted to avoid dealing with you!"

Angelo pouted.

"Awwww. Did I upset you?" I cooed.

Angelo pouted more and crossed his arms.

I shook my head, grinning.
"I've missed this," I sighed.

Angelo nodded.
"I've missed this too, little sis. I never get to see you anymore."

"Yeah. I'm really busy with work and stuff. It doesn't help that I hate the job I have anyways."

"Life sucks sometimes, doesn't it?"

"Definitely," I yawned.

Angelo sighed and got up, stretching.
"I'm tired. Let's go to bed. I already have the guest room all set up for you. You remember where it's at, right?"

I shook my head up and down, agreeing.

"Okay. Night, sis."

"Night, bro."

Next morning

I hugged Ange bye as we headed towards our cars: Angelo to go to work, me to go back home.

"Bye, Ange. I'll see you around sometime." I said when we parted.

"Same here. Don't be a stranger. Come by the shop sometime. I'll give you a tat on the house." Ange told me as he unlocked his car door.

"Of course. I better go." I waved and got in my car.

Right as I was about to pull out, Angelo ran over and knocked on my window.

"Yeah," I shivered at the cold that blew in.

"Hey, I was thinking. Do you still draw?" He asked.

I stared at him confused. "Yeah, I do. Why?"

"Wellllllll, The Black Casket may or may not have a few upcoming openings. And last night, you said you hated our job. So I was wondering, wanna job as a tattoo artist?"

I grinned and bounced in my seat.
"Yessssssssss!"

Angelo laughed. "Okay. I'll give you a call and tell you when to come in."

I nodded, excited.

"I better go. See you soon!" He called out, heading back to car.

After rolling up my window, I turned on my radio and listened to whatever came on. About 20 minutes later, I grabbed my purse and overnight bag out of the passenger seat and headed up to the front door.

Unlocking the door, I stepped inside and was immediately assaulted by voices. Looking up, I took one glance at the person in front of me and my heart froze.

"Ryan, this is Jessica, Ange's half sister. Jessica, this is Ryan Sitkowski. He's our new roommate."

Shit.
