The Green Death

I looked down as the Green Death started to crawl out of her hole in the volcano. "Well done fishbone!" I snapped sarcastically. The Green Death growled as she spotted us and started making her way over. "AshSmoke, you disappoint me. You're helping NightShade and IceGlow, the two Night Furies that killed my mother!" The Green Death screamed at us. She blasted her flame throughout the volcano and I twisted around to dodge it. The flames came closer and Jade started coughing from the smoke. I swung upside down to avoid more fire, but Jade fell off my back. I would have dived after her falling rocks weren't in my way. "AshSmoke take Jade and Hiccup and get them out of here!" I told her. AshSmoke nodded and caught Jade. Hiccup and Toothless followed AshSmoke towards the exit. "It's not that easy!" The Green Death yelled. "Oh yes it is" I muttered then shot a blast that hit her in the back of her head. "Hey!" She growled as she turned around and glared at me. I saw AshSmoke, Hiccup and Jade made it out and took a deep breath of relief. The Green Death turned around then swung her tail at the rocks above me. The rocks gave way and fell onto me.

I tried to blast my way out of the cave of rocks above me, but it was no use. Luckily I wasn't hurt, but I was trapped. I looked through the cracks and saw Toothless jump back into the volcano without a rider. He leapt from rock to rock. "Great! Now my flightless soulmate is on his own" I muttered to myself. "One down, one to go!" The Green Death grinned. Toothless crawled to the front of the rock he was standing on. I could sense that he was mad, scared and extremely protective. I was nearly blinded by a sudden bright light. When I looked back I saw Toothless with glowing blue scales. "Yes!" I shouted with a grin. "Leave me and all my family ALONE!!" Toothless yelled at the Green Death. That was flowed by a plasma blast. The Green Death growled and lunged forward. Toothless jumped to the side and glided down to another rock then shot another blast at her. More fire was blasted at Toothless, he shot it with a plasma blast and the flames flew back and hit the huge dragon. Toothless jumped to a higher rock and shot the Green Death right in the face. She roared and fell over. 'That's four blasts gone, he better use his last two wisely' I thought to myself. Suddenly the rocks above me crumbled apart a plasma blast hit them. I climbed out and shot a blast at the Green Death. I lit up my scales and joined Toothless as I shot one blast after another. "We need to go and now!" I told Toothless who nodded.

I flew down and grabbed a rock. I pushed the rock in Toothless's left tail flap so it would stay open and he could somewhat fly. "Let's go!" Toothless yelled as he leapt into the air. I followed him and we started making our way to the exit. The Green Death had blocked the exit with a ton of rocks so I used my last shot to blast them out the way. The Green Death came up behind us, opened her mouth and started sucking in the air and us along with it. Toothless turned around and used his last blast which flew straight into her throat. The Green Death growled and backed off, letting us escape. We flew out the volcano and sped to the nearest island. By the time we reached the island Toothless's scales had stopped glowing. "Wow Toothless that was amazing!" I said as I rubbed his head. "I'll never be able to do it again" he told me. "It's in you. It will come again if you ever need it" I said. "True. Well maybe one day I'll use it to stand up to a giant Bewilderbeast, imagine that!" Toothless joked and we both laughed.

AshSmoke found us and I was glad to see her, Jade and Hiccup were okay. "The Golden Enclave isn't far from here, I can make it back in my own" I told Toothless. Toothless was about to say something, but AshSmoke butted in. "So Jade won't have a dragon?" She asked. "Not yet" I replied. "Do you think I could... go back to Dragons Edge and have her as my rider?" AshSmoke asked. "Of course! As long as she's happy with that" I told her. "Oh she is, she even gave me a name already!" AshSmoke announced proudly. I looked over at Jade and grinned. "Come here Moonstone" Jade called. AshSmoke ran over and wrapped her long neck around Jade. Hiccup walked over to me. "I never thought I would ever see another Night Fury, thank you girl, be safe" he told me. I nodded and looked up at Jade. "Hey there Blackrose, I'll miss you, but I know you need to be free. I'll be okay, don't worry and I even have Moonstone to look after me now. Maybe one day I'll see you again, but unless that day comes I wish you to be safe and happy" Jade said with her hand on my head. I purred and let her hug me then turned to AskSmoke and Toothless. "Thank you for everything, good luck and I'll take care of Jade, I promise" AskSmoke told me. I smiled and turned to my soulmate. "Are you sure you don't want to come with me?" I asked him. "As much as I want to, I won't. I need to stay with Hiccup and continue rescuing and helping dragons" Toothless told me. I sighed. "I'll miss you" I said as I rubbed my head against his. "I'll miss you too, be safe and say hello to everyone for me, especially NightSong. I'll be okay, don't worry" Toothless told me. "We'll always be soulmates, even if we're not together" I whispered. "We have a bond that cannot be broken" Toothless whispered back. We rubbed heads one last time and touched noses then pulled away. Hiccup climbed on Toothless's back and Jade on AskSmoke's. "Goodbye IceGlow, I love you" Toothless said as he started gliding away. "Goodbye NightShade, I love you too" I called after him. We looked at each other and our eyes locked. We both slightly nodded our heads in a final goodbye. I watched as my soulmate flew up into a white cloud and disappeared.
