A/N: REAL VERSION!
This is ridiculous! I posted this chapter god knows how many times (with the good version!) and it uploaded the wrong one every.single.time!
Anyways,
I just had a question for all of you. I realised as I was writing that this story had two plots, one longer and more complex, while the other was shorter and straightforward. ⚠️⚠️
As I'm not sure which one to use for this book, I was thinking if you'd like to choose. What do you prefer?

"Ms Granger, are you even listening to anything I'm saying?"
"Professor?" Asked Hermione, realising that she had lost herself staring at her potion master, "forgive me."
Raising an amused eyebrow at the girl, he turned back to his blackboard with a smirk dominating his face. He rose his wand and her name appeared in a calligraphic silver writing, followed by a thin line under it.
"It is not the first time Ms Granger that I have tried to seize your attention. Everytime you act displeasingly, I will be adding a line under your name. Each consist of removing 20 points to Gryffindor. If you reach 5 of those by the end of the week, you will be spending your evenings for the next month with me. In other words, Ms Granger, as I believe you are not familiar with it; you will be having detention for a month. Have I made myself clear enough?" He spoke coldly, although deep down he knew his focus on Minerva's favourite cub was purely premeditate to get her under his claws.
Nodding reluctantly back at him, Hermione tried her best to focus in class, although the task seemed harder then she had imagined. For the first time in years, Hermione Granger was tired, exhausted of life and the situation she was placed upon, being the 'chosen one' best friend. It was at the beginning of the year when she started noticing a change in her potion professor. He seemed colder, more mysterious than ever. Her meddlesome nature didn't go unnoticed by him when he had caught her spying on him. Severus had found it diverting, especially when she would tiptoe being him, supposing she was being more soundless than an ant.
Feeling like taunting her, he had decided to catch her off guard when he, a few weeks ago, undressed in one of the secret bathrooms in the castle, under the lustful eyes of his student. Even though he kept scowling himself for doing something so perilous, he persuaded the angel on his shoulder that there was no real concern as long as he kept professing that he hadn't noticed her presence.
For some reason, the atmosphere had altered. Hermione was no longer seeing her professor as a teacher but as a man, especially when he teasingly rubbed his shaft as it grew harder and bigger under his firm grip. He remembered vividly how she gasped when she had noticed his full potential, before hearing footsteps crawling their way out the corridors.
Since then, Severus had a sudden interest in the girl, and tormenting her had become his favourite activity to entertain him out of the misery he was placed upon.
"Ms Granger," he growled, "this is a test, not social services. Helping a student is against the rules! This flowed action will count as two lines, now go back to your own paper."
Hermione was fuming, realising that her potion master was searching for any 'errors' on her part to get her to serve detention. And of course, he had succeeded cleverly, after all, she was a 'know-it-all' and couldn't help but keep her 'mouth shut and help birdbrains.'
The young Gryffindor smiled as she remembered the way their peculiar relationship started.
He had never told her that he had known of her presence in the bathroom, hoping to do so during their public wedding - which never happened.
Hermione was distraught, her heart torn apart. She didn't know whether to run away or keep walking towards her headmaster. If it was in a different timeline she might have been thrilled to see the man, yet her unexpected encounter with the love of her life - with whom in this dimension, their romance never existed - only made her heartache.
Once she reached the Phoenix, she directed her step to the headmaster's office, before delicately pushing the door forward. Dumbledore immediately stood up at the sight of the student before him. "Ms Granger? What a pleasant surprise dear we were all worried, please sit down. Lemon drops?"
"Professor, as much as seeing you well warms my heart, I -"
"- You sure look different, I imagine you are from the past" he interrupted, causing her eyes to widen. "I realised something was wrong when you were calling after Severus. He seemed even more confounded than myself when I first meet Ms Umbridge. Please do tell what you are doing here."
"Actually Sir I was hoping you would be the one to tell me what I should be doing" she whispered, feeling stung by his words, although she knew he hadn't meant it in a malicious way. "Severus told me that I should tell you about the future, but he was evasive. He did tell me that Voldemort's Horcrux - which I believe is already in your possession - should not be worn under any circumstance other than by someone we are ready to sacrifice."
Opening the drawer of his office, he placed the dark ring on the table, eyeing it sceptically. "So my assumptions were right, it consumes the life of the wearer." He glanced up at the girl who nodded back at him, "what is interesting though is that you are in the body of the Hermione of this time."
"Severus told me that the time-turner was different, that my soul would take place in this vessel. However her body is heavily weakened, I'm having trouble walking." She admitted, placing her feeble hand on her empty stomach.
"I can't imagine how hard it must be for you, coming back from a time were those you loved died, yet you see them here, well, but without a memory of the time you shared together."
'You have no idea' she thought, a tear slowly rolling down her cheek.

A/N: If you are confused about the future and the present, the different events that happened between one and the other, don't worry I will explain everything in the coming chapters. 🧐🤔
Don't forget to vote and comment, I'm really curious to see what you think about this chapter. ♥️👑
