His words were like the sharpened of blades, piercing her weakened soul, making her light-headed. Her eyes dashed from one corner of the room to the other, seemingly searching for an explanation. It didn't take long for her mind to put the pieces together, finally understand what was going on.
"Are you saying that I was a virgin?"
Joining her back at the table, he sat down beside her, his hands now seizing hers, "your soul travelled, not your body. I believe that the Hermione from this timeline was still a virgin, after all, I was the one that took yours." He told, kissing her knuckles, "there is so much that we need to figure out, so many unanswered questions. Yet what worries me is who and why did this person take your virgin blood."
"Harry" she murmured, causing his eyes to shadow with anger. Noticing her error, she corrected herself, "he knows about my time travelling, and last time we talked he brought up something. If my soul took the place of this Hermione, where is she?"
Breathing in relief, he then queried her statement, his orbs gradually enlarging, "Hermione we are going off topic here."
"As much as I want to know who's the mastermind behind all of this, I have a feeling that figuring out what happened to my younger self's soul will be the key to unravel all of the truths."
"When you came here" he began - trembling as he recalled the bitter attitude he displayed towards the younger witch - "you were in a coma for a week. There are vast possibilities here, but the likelihood that her soul is confined inside your adult body without being able to take over it is possible. The war left your body exhausted and being younger, I believe she is..."
His face turned pale, his pupils losing focus. "Severus?"
"Hermione I am now sure that someone has been planning your little soul-field trip quite methodically" he finally spoke after a long excruciatingly moment of silence. "Remember what that moronic time turner engraving said? 'Soul lost in an eternal time of misery'. We will need to verify a few books in the restricted section about souls, but I believe that the one that is 'lost in an eternal time of misery' is the younger Hermione in your body."
"Of course! Her soul is lost because she never knew about the switch, my body has been weakened by the war, therefore, she is unable to feed of my vessel's energy in order to come back to the real world. The misery is my body!"
Pulling the witch closer to him, Severus intertwined their fingers together, "yes, but there is probably more that we don't understand yet. We will go to the restricted section tonight while everyone is at Slughorn's party. For now, what bothers me is your husband involvement in this. I would have never sent you away knowing the dangers you could face if someone was plotting on murdering you."
Hermione circled her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her face. She had this sudden need to feel his warm breath on her face while his lips graced hers, tasting him.
Although she tried to hide it, she was scared, afraid that what she believed was a way to save Dumbledore and destroy the Dark Lord was, in fact, all a mascarade.
His lips were now dancing with hers in a fiery tango, their tongues waving against the other, tangling in an endless battle of dominance, - seeking for the others' comfort in their touch - Hermione moaned in their kiss. Lifting her up and pulling her down to straddle his waist, she tentatively began to grind on his semi-hard manhood, his growls and rough hands skimming the skin on her lower back. They both needed this, sheltering their anxious selves in the others affectionate embrace. The urge to feel his warmth against her frequently cold frame took over her as she started removing his shirt.
"Hermione" he managed to speak as her lips were now devouring his neck, "we need to talk about this, we shouldn't be distracted."
"I just need to feel your body against mine Severus, I'm freezing, I need you to warm me up" she whimpered, her voice breaking, pleading for him to give in to her needs.
Mumbling was all Hermione heard until she felt his now naked body under her, welcoming her. Purring in content, nuzzling her head in the crock of his neck she whispered, "I need you to go through the memories of my other life, more specifically during the war in the Shack. I need to know if it was you that sent me here, or someone pretending to be you." Her voice was now firm, determined, yet her quivering hands told her off.
"What do you wish for me to see exactly?" He asked her, standing up and leading her to the sofa, sitting backwards - her body still firmly clutched onto him.
"Someone has been meddling with our memories, and for some reason, whenever I am close to figuring out something my mind goes numb." She explained while her fingers roamed over his chest, "you don't remember our conversation in your classroom when I revealed to you I time travelled, and when I asked you about it all you remembered was one word and the rest had been erased from your mind. I need to know why."
Scrutinizing her face, Severus' eyes blinked repeatedly, flashes of her fatigued and skinny face taking over his sight. He brought his finger to her cheek - which appeared a few previous blinks to be dug into her face - tracing his finger curiously over it. "We need more answers. I will go through your memories, but there are questions that only one book can give us the answers we seek."
They didn't have to say it out loud to know that both were thinking about the restricted section. It was the only place in the castle that sheltered the darkest of books, inhabiting the darkest magic. Souls weren't going to be the only subject they were going to research after all.
"We have a lot of work to do" she giggled, trying to lighten up the mood. "Will it hurt?"
"What will?" He asked, his digits now lowering themselves on her perky breast, bringing his lips to her taunting nipple, licking and nibbling it.
Throwing her head backwards, Hermione tried to clear her constricted throat, "you will have to go through my mind Severus, and this body isn't mine, your legilimency skills will have to dive inside my soul's memories. I was -"
"- it will. I don't know how much but I'm positive it will. It hurts even for individuals whose soul is residing in their appropriate vessel, but your situation is different, and I'm afraid the pain isn't optional." He honestly responded, cupping her bottom lovingly, his lips placing delicate kisses on her clavicle. Feeling the protruding bone under his touch, the wizard snapped his eyes open only to be met with a healthy looking collarbone.
"Make love to me" she susurrate, her thumb going under his chin, beckoning him to look up to her. "If it hurts I want to be able to fill you there, with me, inside of me. If I get scared, feeling you will reassure me."
Her ambers orbs were pleading, her dampness covering his endowment. Severus' breath hitched as he felt her readied body welcoming him.
Before he could plunge his centre of pleasure inside of her womanhood, Hermione stopped his movement by placing a hand on his chest, "we need to be on alert now Severus, someone is trying to hurt us" exclaimed the witch, her lips hovering above his, "I won't be able to live if I lost you a second time."
"You won't, I promise you." With these words, his firm erection penetrated her while her mind opened up for him to see, knowing that now more then ever before, they were closer to the truth.
