A dark raven man with shoulder length hair and mesmerizing obscure eyes discretely looked out a half-opened door, his gaze drifting through every corner of the hallway to ensure he was alone. Once the sounds of footsteps faded into the distance, he stepped foot out of the room and pulled along with him a young woman, before leaning forwards and kissing her lovingly.

"I'll see you later love," said the man - his husky voice like music to the amber-eyed woman who beamed at him.

Nodding back, she watched as he hurried away, disappearing behind the various medieval columns standing proudly throughout the castle. Now alone, the woman let out a quivering sigh, her smile fading into a painful expression - the flicker in her eyes now reflecting the torment and sadness caused by the conversation she had with her lover a few minutes ago.

The contained outrage and betrayal that radiated from his body hadn't gone unnoticed, yet for some reason, the feeling of being a prey to a dangerous creature had caused her whole body to lose her grip on her words. From rudeness to selfishness, she knew she had gone too far, her comments and taunting sarcasm had been nothing but despicable. Her heart ached at the notion that he had opened his heart to her - something uncommon for the Slytherin - however, it hadn't stopped her from containing her crude attitude from him.

Like a roller coaster, her relationship with the potion master had been nothing but an uncontrollably loving ride, with its ups and downs, but only making their love stronger.

In her own timeline, her relationship with him had been similar, with slight changes. Until his last breath, Severus Snape had been secretive - eluding questions and trying his hardest to distract her from his plans.

Walking down the path towards her morning class, the girl snorted, realising she had become what she spurned the most from her husband - tight-lipped. No matter how hard she tried to convince herself otherwise, she was now repeating what she had endured from her deceased husband with her lover.

Laughs and groans were heard as she approached the classroom, the door open - waiting for the remaining students to join their seats. Clenching her jaw, knowing she had to face him again, she rapidly joined her chair beside her friends - her head facing down.

"You are late Ms Granger," noted the professor, waiting for her usual apologies. Yet nothing. She stayed silent, her mind vagabonding away from this classroom in the hopes she could vanish, hide from his impressive glower. "Has a cat eating your tongue Ms Granger or have you clogged your ears?"

Feeling nudged from her left, Hermione rose her head up towards Harry who was pointing at the front of the classroom with his chin. Following everyone's attention, her eyes finally landed on Severus, a light gasp escaping from her constricted throat.

"Forgive me, professor," she finally mumbled, her tremulous voice not going unnoticed to Snape who raised a disconcerted eyebrow at the witch.

He hadn't wished to point his finger at her lateness, yet if he hadn't, he knew students would be talking - after all, he was not known for showing signs of mercy to his students, other than Slytherin.
