Hermione stayed silent as if her whole body had gone numb at the mention of Lucifer. She was still unable to comprehend what had happened to her in the restricted section if those flashes were part of her dreams - the fruit of her imagination - or if they were part of a forgotten reality. Having not once questioned the spell she had remembered casting in the flash that had appeared not long after noticing those mysterious lights in the darkness, Hermione had immediately focused the integrity of her magic to cast this unknown spell. The pain had been grand, powerful, nearly knocking her off her feet, yet strangely, she felt strong enough to withheld any sharp burn thrown her way.

"Your eyes are red Hermione what's going on?" she recalled Ginny's words, causing her head to snap back to Severus, who was studying her, his brows meeting at the centre, his jaw clenched, "I read so many books, Severus, I must have stumbled upon one that talked about it."

The snicker that followed iced her blood, sending a shiver down her spine. It was ominous, frightful, stiffening her body and enticing her animal instinct to flee the room as far away from Severus as possible. "You boastfull yourself as being a know-it-all, having read all the books there is in the library, and use it as an excuse the moment you realise you've been caught like a deer caught in headlights. I am no young imbecile that would believe any farfetched word that comes out of your mouth, so stop treating me like your dunderhead of Weasley and answer me, where did you learn this spell, Ms Granger?"

Saying Hermione blanched at the formality was an understatement. She felt like she was back in first year, intimidated by the frightening tall potion master whose eyes, dark like those of a hawk, roaming over you - analysing your every action in hopes of finding a flaw and using it against you before attacking.

Although she wanted to share with him those questionable flashes she had about Lucifer, a small yet existent voice deep down in the back of her head told her not to. The will was here, yet her throat constricted the moment she tried to answer him truthfully.

Severus was not known as the best death eater for nothing. He had grown fond of the dark arts, torture curses and the rush of power he got from dominating others and frightening them. Although this was all part of his past, he had not forgotten how to analyse the human body and his abilities as a double agent had grown into making him constantly dubious and alert. He had noticed something was off with Hermione's speech the moment she spoke of the distance separating her from those two lights.

There were known extensive charms to increase audition at a certain distance, yet the bigger the distance, the lower the accuracy to comprehend the words being spoken were.

He better than anyone knew of all the dark curses and magic that loomed on earth for decades, his knowledge having increased with the thirsty Tom Riddle recruiting death eaters. The Aguendae was part of a list of spells discovered in a parchment hidden inside a secret chamber in a muggle church AD 27, a few days before God's muggle son, Jesus, deceased.

Many wizards investigated this case, unable to believe the possibility of a higher and stronger being than Merlin himself. Yet quickly, the discovery of a superior world with human displaying large wings and demon-like figures had alarmed the wizarding world. Stories about them were soon created, inventions and beliefs on the existence of the sons of God fighting against Samael, the less obedient of them all. It lasted years, yet before the Muggle world could find traces of magic on Jesus, Aurors had found a parchment written by him listing the spells Lucifer had rustled to his ear in order to do ill on earth.

The strongest and bravest wizard sacrificed their lives to try and cast these spells - hoping to discover endless power through the words of the Devil himself. Yet none succeeded, many died whilst others spent the remainder of their lives mentally scarred and unable to live amongst society.
