A/N: Hey everyone, I was wondering, do you think I should change the description of this story? Do you have any suggestions as to what I could write?⚠️📝🌹🌺

Thank you so much!

A smile drew on the man's face as it leaned back, welcoming the morning sun as it shone its rays through the branches of the trees surrounding him. His eyelids closed, he inhaled the fresh air of nature, tickling his senses as he swiped his hands on his trousers, nervousness creeping in. The inviting sound of birds chirping resonated around him while a faint breeze caressed his cheek, causing him to gasp at the unexpected feeling of a woman's hand. His eyes instantly snapped open, looking around, yet she wasn't here.

"I'm so proud of you my son," he heard his mother's voice in his head, her warming presence like a lullaby, soothing him. Unable to contain the sobbing that overtook him, believing he was losing his mind, he placed a supporting hand on the nearest tree trunk, gasping for air. "I love you so much Severus, my soul is finally at peace knowing someone on this earth will love you unconditionally. Be safe my son."

"Mother?" he cried, turning around frantically, his body twisting uncomfortably as he searched for her, "mother?" he repeated, his hands quivering before he brought his arms around his body, remembering how her embrace felt.

"Close your eyes," her voice was so close, yet unattainable.

Letting his eyelids fall, he jumped as he felt a hand on his shoulder before moving to rest on his damped cheek, a thumb stroking the tears away. Choking from the invisible touch, Severus lifted a hand and placed it where the hand was and cried when his finger came into contact with his cheek. "I am here Severus, I have never left you," murmured his mother, her forehead now resting on his, "remember we used to do this whenever we parted."

He wept as a response, a feeble 'yes' coming out of his trembling lips. "I'm happy, mother," he managed to say, his whole body moving forward in search of her warmth, yet nothing. "Why did you leave me, mum, I needed you." His voice was hoarse, the little child within him wailing after his mother's death, the pain and abandon surging forward, seeking an answer. "I love you so much!"

"I never left you, my son, I was always here, with you," she answered, her lips grazing his forehead before placing a long kiss on it, her hands gripping the side of his face, holding onto him one last time. "I am so proud of what you've become, you are a brave man and now, you have found the woman who will share a life with you. My job on this earth is done."

A part of him wanted to beg her to stay, never leave his side as he walked hand in hand with his wife towards a brilliant future, yet in the other he knew she needed to move on, find peace like he had with Hermione.

"Never forget to fight for what you want Severus, love is the most powerful antidote, once you have it, keep it and never let it go. I love you my son, and never forget, mummy is proud of you."

With these last words she disappeared, the reassuring feeling of her touch now gone. Biting on his lips, trying to stop himself from calling after her in despair, Severus placed his hand on his chest, steadying his breathing. And abruptly, he let go of that last piece of pain that had consumed him over the years, the fear of being abandoned, never finding love, the loss of his mother, all escaping from his lungs and dissipating into the air, gone forever.

He was finally ready.

Opening his eyes, allowing them to adjust to the light - welcoming it with a smile - the scent of lavender reached his nostrils right before he heard faint footsteps coming his way. A shiver descended it way down his back as he turned around, his heart skipping a beat as there she stood, the love of his life, dressed in a light summery white dress, a small bouquet of flowers in her fragile hands, smiling back at him. He gasped for air, marvelled by her sticking beauty.

Her giggle reached his ears as she advances before him, finishing right in front of Severus, their feet meeting. Towering above her, his eyes like enamoured saucers, big ebony eyes glowing in pure bliss down at the most stunning amber - illuminated by sun rays. Her rosy lips had never felt more inviting, whilst her perfume intoxicated him. She had taken his breath away, along with his heart, and he gladly struggled if it meant being bonded eternally to her.

It had been suggested by Dumbledore, yet the longer he tough about it, the more tempting the idea of bonding to her had become. He needed to protect her, the Dark Lord's forces growing by the minutes. The clock was ticking, he had little to no time, and he was ready. He had never been surer in his life than the moment he had asked her to marry him. She had been startled, yet screamed the most marvellous 'yes' before kissing him passionately. For a second, as they gazed into each other's eyes, charmed, everything around them disappeared, their love blossoming like the flowers in spring.

"You are positively stunning my love," he whispered, his hand grasping hers and bringing her knuckles to his lips, placing a chaste kiss on them. "You're quite the lucky woman," he joked, causing her to laugh in response.

"You're only realising it now? I have found my prince charming, without the charming of course," she winked, his giggles making her feel dizzy, "I love you so much Severus."

"And I you, beautiful."

With a wave of his wand, he casted a rose petal and placed it on his lips, kissing it, before settling it on her chest - lightly tugging on her décolleté, smirking at her puckered nipple inviting him. "It's cold Sev, don't be so boastful," she grinned noticing the sneer that now traced her soon-to-be husband's facial features.

Kissing her lips in response, delighted, he waited for Hermione, who repeated the same actions as he did, the petal soon coming into contact with his own chest.

"Cum enim amori non sinet, (With love we will unite)

Nos autem facti per osculum cordis nostri ejus, (Through our kiss our heart will become one)

Quia in hac vita mea est anima tua, (For in this life my soul is yours)

Religata continent sumus ignis." (Bonded we shall ignite.)

They spoke, tears running down their cheeks as they felt the power of the Anima Victum Vow reached down to their souls and bonding them together.

With one last wave of his wand, Severus terminated the bonding, and a bright light appeared between them, dancing around their bodies, waiting for the kiss that shall seal their engagement.

"I promise to love you eternally Hermione, for better or for worse. I will always stand by your side, care for you and cherish you, kiss the ground you step on as you only deserve to walk on gold. Always." He promised, leaning down towards her lips.

Circling her hands around his neck, she whispered, "I promise to love you and cherish you in this lifetime and in any others Severus. In your eyes I see those of my future children, in your touch I feel the love and the tenderness I never thought existed on this earth. You have shown me how to love, and I will forever stand by your side, care for you, protect you, cherish you, and never ever let you go. No matter what. Always."

The light flickered as their lips met, sealing the Anima Victum Vow for as long as both live, their love ready to face the upcoming war, unafraid.

"Hermione? She's waking up!"
