Two weeks had passed and during that time there had been a lot of correspondence among Angelique and her co-workers; well all except for Uri, Lori and Chad, which she was happy to have him missing in action for the time being. There had been a lot of emails sent back and forth between Tracy, Cassie and Jason, that entailed business and personal conversations. Because she needed her own personal workspace she had went shopping, purchasing her own computer, along with a few others supplies required to do her designs. She used a spare bedroom to put her office together.

She was working on the computer when she heard a tone signaling she had mail. It was from Jason and read:

Hey girlfriend, if you’re at your computer, join Tracy and me on Skype. A smile instantly appeared as she stopped what she was doing to chat with her new friends.

“Hi Jas, Hi Tracey.”

“Hi Ang,” said Tracey.

“Hi girlfriend,” said Jason, putting down a glass of something colorful to wave.

“What’s going on with you two? Where is Cassie?” said Ang.

“She’s doing something with the family today,” replied Tracey.

“Cute top, you know we must go shopping together soon,” said Jason.

She laughed. “Thanks Jas, it was on clearance at Stewarts, 50 percent off,” she said, talking about the sleeveless red blouse with ruffles going down the middle seam where the buttons were.

“Shut your mouth. Oh yes, you are my shopping partner from here on out,” he said.

Tracey and Angelique laughed. “Jason you make the day so cheerful,” said Angelique.

“Hey Jas, how are things coming with your project?”

He lifted the back of his hand to his forehand, closing his eyes for a second. “Don’t even get me started. This client I have is a real ball buster, but I finally have a few sketches and computer assisted designs I feel Bryn is going to like. The only thing left to do know is create the blueprints and models.”

“Oh that’s great Jas. I know how hard you’ve been working,” Angelique said.

“Or hardly working,” said Tracey laughing. “I think he’s been complaining to me for three hours. That is, going back and forth between working and typing out his frustrations in email.”

Angelique heard the garage opening and looked at the computer clock. It was only 1:30 p.m. “Hey guys, my hubby is home, I got to go.”

“Okay Ang, we’ll chat later,” said Tracey.

“Yeah, you bet your cute butt we will. Tracey is going to set up an outing for us. Be good Hun, TTYL.”

“Back at you both, bye,” said Angelique and logged off.

About time she made it downstairs she heard Trey making noise in the dining room. He had a ripped bag of food sprawled out on the table consisting of fries and an open container with a hotdog inside. Stepping closer to him she could smell a strong scent of alcohol.

“Trey?”

He stared up at her, his were red and his clothes were disorderly. “Babe,” he said, slurring the word. He went to stand up, but ended up falling back down into the chair.”

“Trey you’re drunk. You drove home like this?”

“Just a couple drinks, you know with a client.”

“No I don’t know and this isn’t like you. What has gotten into you?”

He grabbed for her hand. “Nothing babe, but I was hoping to get into you, if you know what I mean,” he gargled out.
