Trial of Marriage 2

Part 1 - A Year Later

Upstairs in the bedroom, Angelic and Trey Moretti were getting situated for bed. In town on business was Bryn Thornton, and they had invited her to dinner. Throughout the course of the year, not only were her and Trey still friends, but her and Angelic had managed to become chummy as they got better acquainted. Dispute the fact that Bryn’s sibling was Amanda, Angelic did not hold her sisters actions against her.

Since Trey had returned ownership of Thornton Trust back to Bryn, she did what she planned on doing before her accident and being in a coma for so many years. Right away she started Thornton’s Interior Designs, Inc., and her business was growing rapidly. Since Amanda had over saw the upkeep of their home while she was unconscious, she knew that her sister had a keen eye for detail when she had woke up and saw what a good job she did in making the place comfortable. It was time to stop Amanda’s monthly allowance and maker her earn her keep.

Bryn put her to work in the second office she opened in California. There Amanda was office manager. A win-win situation for them both being that Amanda already wanted to relocate to the Cali scene and Bryn wanted to sell the house they lived in while her sister took care of her. Bryn was determined to move into their father’s mansion and have their birthplace restored. Since their father’s death, the house sat empty and it needed work.

To make the deal sweeter for Amanda, Bryn had promised she could claim sole ownership of the funds from the sale of their house. An offer she knew her sister would have never turned down. So Amanda left for California with an office to run, a huge bank account, and a salary way more than what she received before in her monthly allowance. To say the least, they both ended up with what they wanted.

Bryn had made bi-weekly trips to Pittsburgh over the past seven months. A new office was to be opened in their city in about five months. It was during dinner that Bryn announced that she had submitted an ad to the local paper for potential employees to help run the new branch. That tidbit of information prompted Trey to retrieve Angelic’s binders which contained photos of before and after pictures of redecorating projects she had completed for herself and her aunt as she practiced her hobby.

It took Bryn years of schooling before she achieved the skill level that Angelic naturally has being self taught. The photos were truly amazing, and the few referral letters Bryn read were of extremely satisfied customers who would have loved for her to do another job had she been willing. After she flipped through the book Bryn knew right away she had found her senior office designing manager.

After Bryn left for the evening, the more Trey thought about the turn of events, the more it bothered him. He needed to speak with Angelic before they retired for the evening. She sat on the bench of her vanity putting her long curly doo up into a high ponytail. Angelic procedure she did every other night to maintain her hairstyle for another day.  She had just secured her locks it in satin hair cap when Trey approached her from behind.

Using his fingers, and not being too hard, he applied pressure to each side of Angelic’s fragile neck.  She loved the way his touch felt as his fingers moved inward with circular motions. Trey was a true masseuse, and the way he located every stressed muscles on her body was a gift. Despite this pampered treatment being a favorite of hers, it also meant he had something on his mind.

 “You mind if we talk?” He asked.

 She relaxed and rested her head against him. “As long as you can talk and work your magic, you will get no complaints here,” she purred.
