Part 18

It was going on a month since Angelique gave in to Chad’s demands. It took two weeks before she could even convince him to bring her to his place and it was during the days when Trey was out of town. She would get him drunk enough that she could get up and look for the papers without being caught. However, she had been unsuccessful thus far and was starting to get discouraged wondering if she would ever find them. She was at work coming out of a staff meeting. 

“Great meeting everyone,” she said going to her office.  

When she went to sit down Cassie, Jason and Tracy walked in. “Hey guys, did we forget to discuss something at the meeting?” 

“Am I attracted to guys?” said Jason sitting on the chair in front of her desk. 

She was forced to chuckle. “Okay, what did we miss?” 

“A girls night out,” said Tracy and of course she was including Jason in the excursion. 

“Yes bitches, we need to let off some steam and have some fun. No children, no husband or in my case my nerve wrecking significant other. Just us going out having a few drinks and enjoying each other’s company.” 

“I don’t know guys,” Angelique said thinking about her commitment to Chad. 

His ears must have been ringing because he walked in moments later. “Hello folks, am I missing the party?” 

“You yes, but us three are trying to convince Ang to join us for a ladies night out,” said Cassie. 

“Oh really,” Chad asked looking in her direction.  

He and Angelique had been keeping their relationship on the down low as per both of their wishes. He didn’t need anyone to know and she was serious about not wanting anyone to think she was cheating on Trey. Technically, giving in to Chad’s whims she was; however, realistically she still had not slept with him and he wasn’t pressuring her so she wasn’t complaining.  

Chad walked in sitting on the edge of her desk nearest her. “You know you could use some down time Angelique. Go out with your friends,” he stressed. She wasn’t sure if he was for real or acting.  

“You know what, your right. I don’t know why I’m being so stubborn,” she said acting on Chad’s words. She saw that he was looking at her inquisitorially. 

“Now you’re talking. Thanks Chad, we should have dragged you in here sooner,” said Cassie. 

“So are we going tonight?” Jason asked crossing his leg. 

Chad didn’t say anything but she knew what he was thinking. “No, tonight is bad I have some things to do. How about tomorrow?” 

“Tomorrow’s good for me. My kids will be with their dad,” replied Tracy. 

“I have nothing on my agenda,” said Cassie already typing into her calendar. 

“Well hello we have a winner. Tomorrow it is and we can go to Randall’s Pub and Grill right after work. It will be Friday night and we can get drunk if we want to,” said Jason overly excited about their first outing. 

“Sound good guys, but right now I have to get back to work. Chad did you want to talk about the drawing I’m doing for you?” 

“Actually yes if you don’t mind.” 

“No it’s fine. We’re done here right guys?” 

“Yuppers,” said Tracey heading out. 

“I’m next Ang, come to my office when you’re done with Chad,” said Cassie. 

“Sure, I’ll be there.”
