Pulling up to the house Angelique was greeted by Trey. He stood outside leaning against his car waiting for her to arrive. She didn't even have to ask the question of what he was doing, instantly offering up an explanation of wanting to surprise her with a special evening. With blindfold in hand he tied it around her head blocking out her view. He knew there would be a bit of protest on her part, but intrigue was the winner as he settled her down and steered her to the front seat of his vehicle.

“Trey, I can't believe your doing this. How long before we get to wherever you're taking me?”

“Be patient beautiful, we’re almost there.” He picked up her hand kissing it.

“I thought we were celebrating your award. It feels like you're making it into my day.”

“I like sharing, how about it being our big day? Don’t forget this was your first day on the job.”

“Uh, can I add, don't you forget I have another big day on the job tomorrow, you can’t be kidnapping me and keeping me out all night Mr. Moretti.”

“Noted, now hush and be patient.”

Angelique folded her arms and sighed. Trey pleased with the outcome could only smile, anticipating her reaction once they've reached the location. He loved this woman heart and soul, and even with all the misgivings that's been bothering him lately, the one thing he was sure of was having her in his life kept him solid and in a good place. He veered onto a private driveway, their stop was coming up.

“Trey is that gravel you’re driving over?”

“Yup, we’re almost there.”

“Ugh, I hope you know this is killing me,” she said in an unavoidable whining tone.

He laughed. “I do.”

The car came to a still and he got out walking around to assist Angelique in getting her out. With his hand along the lower portion of her back he guided up two flight of wooden steps and  positioned her in front of a door before he removed the blind fold.

The sun had set and due to the outside lighting that shown down brightly, she couldn't help but blink a few time as she adjusted her sight from the extended period of darkness she had been in. “Where are we?” She asked, looking around.

“Never mind that, open the door,” he stated, a beaming ill-behaved smile lit up on him.

Her lips twisted up, however, curiosity got the better and she turned the knob pushing open the door. Right away she let out a gasp and her hand flew to her mouth covering it. “Oh my gosh baby, you did all this?” she said, holding the side of her face.

“I sure did.” Trey witnessed her eyes watering up. He'd left work early to prepare and set the scenery for their evening and from her reaction it was a job well done.

“This place is spellbinding. How did you get this cabin?”

“It’s Ted's from work, he lent it to us.”

Her eyes inquisitively explored everywhere, though it was the crackling blaze in the fireplace that caught her eye first just as Trey knew it would. He took the liberty of lining the shelves around the room with scented candles because he know how much she loved them. The last she noticed was the path of them of them he had made on the floor that led to the back door that opened up to an outside structure. He was right behind her as she stepped onto the deck.

“Trey, there’s a running hot tube,” she said with excitement pointing at it. Her hand slipped into the water moving back and forth. “Mmm, it feels warm and inviting." He noticed she promptly lifted her hand. "The water is clean right?” She scrunched up her nose and he knew what she was thinking.
