Harry

I lay flat on my back with my limbs spread out over the ground, as I looked up at the sky aimlessly. The sun was beaming down on my face giving me some what warmth, although a cool breeze blew past me every now and then, giving me chills. All I had on was a thin sweater that was slightly tucked into the sweatpants I had on. My shoes were tossed aside, and my socks were snug around my feet.

I hadn't really done anything today. There were no calls to good on, and nothing to do other then that. I was bored and honestly wasn't really in the mood to do anything. This week was slightly a rough week for me. Aside from barely keeping myself from having a mental breakdown, there's just non stop crimes going on everyday and it feels like we just don't get a break at all. Of course, there's always the option to let the cops handle things for once, since initially it is their job, but if anything bad we're to happen we'd feel as though it's our faults for not helping.

We are the ones with abilities which automatically make us stronger and better at handling these situations, but this is literally just one city. If there's this much crime here, just imagine everywhere else in the world. It's honestly stressful for me to think about how this whole town falls in the hands of just us five people, who are also just human. It would seem selfish to say we want to live our lives too, but deep down it's how we probably all feel. We barely have time to just be human for once. And it sucks because, I haven't been feeling very hero lately yet I have to continue to act as one.

I love my job of course, I just don't love how it sucks the life out of me.

Sometimes, I just want to lay like this and not move for a long time. Just to think about my life. My life hasn't been the greatest. I never knew my real parents, and I had an older brother who never really took responsibility for me before we were separated during that nuclear blast, which is what caused some of the people of Jump City to develop these unusual abilities. I had no one to guide me through my time of confusion when I had gotten my powers and was terrified of what was happening to me. Then I finally found a place I could call home, and someone who loved me like I had never been loved before and of course that was taken from me. Because, why would I deserve that?

Even though I still had my three best friends by my side, I still always felt that one missing piece in my life. The missing piece that was bound to never be replaced. It's remain broken forever, and what makes it worse is that that missing piece is now one of our biggest opponents yet. I just had some type of bad luck with life, and it only seemed to twist the knife deeper in my heart as the days went on.

I don't know what got me thinking about all of this, but it's been in the very back of my mind for a long time, and never really said aloud. Plus, how can I have a chance to just be alone and think? I'm just way too busy saving lives and dealing with the present day. I let out a breath, and closed my eyes letting the sun continue to shine over me. But suddenly I couldn't feel it anymore as what seemed like a big shadow cascades over me. I frown, thinking to myself, where did those clouds come from? But when I open my eyes I notice that it's not clouds, and that it was Liam standing over me.

He smiles down at me with his hands shoved in his joggers.

"Hey there beautiful. I was looking for you." He says as he lowers himself to sit next to me as I still lay on the ground. I turn my head limply to look at him, forcing a smile.

"Hey Li." I reply, my voice sounding a little raspy.

"What are you doing up on the roof lied out like a star fish?" He asks curiously. I laugh slightly and turns my head back up towards the sky.

"Thinking."

"About me?" Liam suggests, wriggling his eyebrows. I roll my eyes playfully, nodding.

"Sure." I say. Liam chuckles softly, reaching over to brush his fingers against my hair gently.

"I'm just kidding, what's really on your mind babe?" He asks. I sigh, pulling my hands up and placing them over my stomach.

"Life and how it sucks." I admit with a fake laugh. Liam presses his lips together, his eyes shifting as he thinks about something. Then he lifts himself up and climbs on top of me. I raise an eyebrow at him as he smiles down at me placing his hands on either side of my head, hovering over me.

"Well, can I make it better for you?" He asks. I smile lightly and shrugs.

"You can try." I tell him. He leans down, kissing my cheek then he moves to kiss my other cheek. He trails kisses down from my cheeks, to my chin and jaw, then finally he litters my neck with kisses as he moves back up to find my lips. Every kiss slightly lingering. He pulls away and beams at me with his bright eyes. I couldn't help but to laugh at him.

"Any better?"

"Uh, I don't know. Try harder." Liam pokes his bottom lip out and leans down to kiss my mouth again, moving his lips against mine. It felt a little awkward, maybe because of the position we were in, but he finally pulls away. I laugh weakly, "Okay, better." I say, even though I was still feeling a little down. Liam smiles and lifts himself off of me, before standing up.

"Good. Now how about we go out somewhere? It'll take your mind off things for a bit." He suggested as he held his hand out for me to take. I lift my arm up and take his hand as he swiftly pulls me up by my dead weight without a problem. Perks of having super strength. I nod.

"Yeah, that sounds good." I reply. I lean down to get my shoes, looking over my outfit. "Should I change?"

"No, you're fine just like that babe." He tells me. I smile and kneels down to put my shoes back on, tying them back up since the strings were a bit loose. When I finally come back up, I don't even have a chance to say anything before a blur of light slightly blinds me and the next thing I know, I get the wind completely knocked out of me. I cry out painfully as I am roughly tackled to the ground and the hard concrete hits my back harshly. I felt pain all around my upper half, the impact knocking my vision blurry for a few moments.

Once I regain my sight, I notice Liam on top of me, looking at something behind him. I sit up slowly, groaning at the pain in my body from Liam tackling me. Then I rub my eyes, before looking in the direction Liam was facing with his fists clenched. Liam walks forward, growling as he glares at the culprit with fury.

"You again."

Zayn lowers himself onto the roof top, smirking. "Missed me lads?"
