Chapter 18

As I woke up I realised I never thanked Jack, why should I wait for him to contact me, I was seeing him today anyway:

"thank you... they made me smile like an idiot"

I got ready for the party, it was at a beach house near venice beach and I knew fans were going to be there and cameras so I wanted to look nice at least. I put on a little black dress and made it more casual with converse an oversized denim shirt and stacked some neckalces with a choker. I kept my natural voluminous waves and went with a smokey eye and nude lips. Put on some rings and I was ready.

I threw my phone, headphones, raybans and Carter's present into my backpack and got into my car Carter sent for me, because the place was going to be packed to the door and out with girls and fans, people actually attending the party needed assistance to get inside. After a short trip we arrived slowly into a mob of girls looking into the window, when they saw it was me they began shouting: "Omg it's Lola", "I love you", "Omg omg", "Lola can I get a picture".

I was blown away, obviously it was a fraction of their reactions if one of the boys was arriving but I felt so blessed that people were being so kind, I put on my sunglasses and climbed out of the car escorted by a bodyguard he was moving me towards the house but I wanted to take pictures with a few girls and hug them. I only managed to squeeze in a few selfies and quick embraces before I was forced to enter the house.

As I got in I was met by a crowd of people I was a little starstruck at Carter's guestlist: Kingbach, Acicia, Maddison Beer, the magcon boys and more. But my eyes imidately met with Jack's, he was smiling at me, he must have gotten my text.

I smiled back but was then lifted off the ground by Hayes and then Cameron, I hadnt seen them in so long.

Hayes: Missed you!

Cam: Lil Lola!

Me: Aw hi guys I missed you too omg

Cam: Wow, I'll never get tired of that accent.

Me: Happy birthday Carter!

I walked across the room to give Carter a huge hug, I'd missed him so much

Carter: It's been too long Lo, so glad you came

I worked my way around the room greeting everyone as I went, some were pleasantly welcoming like Kingback and others were slightly awkward like Maddison, we were quite diferent people, she was very polished and put together where I was more "hippie"ish and laid back.

After we had been there for a while I pulled Carter outside onto the balcony that the fans couldn't see to give him his gift.

Me: I wanted to give you your gift, I know you said you didn't want anything but it's only small and not much but I wanted you to have it.

Carter: Lola honestly you don't have to get me anything you being here is enough

I pulled out the hand made wrist band my sister made and gave it to him, explaining what it was

Carter: That so sweet Lola thank you so much

We hugged and he walked into the party to the other balcony where they were waving at fans, I had been there for a while so I decided to stay on the otherside to have a breather. I was looking out into the the bay, the beach looked so beautiful and peaceful becase everyone was at the front of the house. "You wanna go for a dip later?" I turned round to see Jack in the doorway. I smiled at him then looked back to the beach, He joined me.

Jack: It's crazy out there isn't it.

Me: I know I can't believe it, Carter must be loving this, especailly on his birthday bless him

Jack: So how was London? (he asked it with a sigh, as if he didn't want to know the answer)

Me: Amazing... it rained every night, I loved it, it made me feel so at home

Jack: You're.. you're not moving back there are you?

Me: No... I mean at some point I'll have to go back, but that won't be untill the far future, I love it here too much.

Jack: hm, it is beautiful in California, you should come to Nebraska at some point, you'd love it

Me: I'm sure I would... Dallas was beautiful I have to admit, I was looking at the pictures we took in the field there.

Jack: My followers went crazy over those pictures, in a good way, everyday I'd get tagged in edits and pictures of us, I thought it was sweet everyone saying we should be together.

I looked up at his face from the beach and saw he was already looking at me, I smiled, I hadn't proper spoken to him one on one since Washington. I had missed this so much.

Me: Yeah, they did like those photos didn't they, they're quite old now tho, taken on the day I met you, a few months back.

Jack: Why don't we take an updated one?

Jack pulled out his phone, we posed so that we were both smiling, our heads together looking at the camera and the view of the beach behind us. He posted it and gave me a hug.

Jack: I missed this, us, being friends and hanging out, I'm sorry I didn't stay in touch after Magcon.

Me: Oh.. I.. I'm over it now, yeah at the time I was alittle confused but-

Jack: -I'm always sad after Magcon and you added to that made things a lot harder, especially the fact that I couldn't say goodbye.

Me: Believe me, I wanted to say goodbye, so bad but I couldn't bring myself to do it, I would have cried and it would have gotten messy.

Jack: I suppose.. well it's okay now we're with eachother

Me: Yeah (smiling)

We went and joined the others, we had an amzing time and Carter had a fab birthday, ther party was over now and it was about 5pm, a few people had already left and I was about to, I gave everyone a hug goodbye but before I left I said:

Me: Oh yeah by the way I'm heading down to the court near the beach to meet Jc now so if any of you want to join us later fell free to come down, Jc's brought our penny boards and a Bball so you know. See ya later.

They all said goodbye and I made my way to the car. I managed to get in but before it drove off, Jack and Jack made their way to the car, I opened the door and look at Jack G confused, he smiled and took my hand, he climbed into the car beside me and Jack J got in the front, before Jack G closed the back door I could hear people screaming "Omg I knew they were together, "thats so cute" "he just held her hand" "omg no way"

Jack J: We wanted to come now we had nothing better to do and basketball near the beach sounds too Californian to miss out on
