Chapter 9

We were all on the bus to Houston, it was gonna be a long drive so we got comfy, the next show was tomorrw so Shawn was singing at the back and it was so peaceful, such an angelic voice!

I sat up from being slouched in my seat, everyone sat by themselves to get room, and i looked over to Jack, I wanted to go speak to him but I was a little nervous, whenevr we spoke he was always the one to start up a conversation, I felt bad so stood up and sat next to him.

He turned his face from the window to look at who sat next to hin, he smiled when he saw me and put his hand on my thigh and gave it a squeeze, he kept it there.

Me: Hey

Jack G: Hey, hows it going?

Me: Okay, I'm getting a little bored of this journey though, I'm so bad with long distances.

Jack G: Aw howcome

Me: Travel sickness I guess, how are you feeling?

Jack G: Good actually, I think I've become immune to travel sickness because I'm on the road so often. Was there something you wanted or just a chat?

Me: Well I was wondering whether you could help me out

Jack G: Whats up?

Me: Well this morning when I was in the basketball court, I realised that I had lost my touch with the game, I used to play it all the time when I was younger but I got distracted with exams and my dance passion that I neglected the sport for years.

Jack G: So what can I do to help you Lo?

Me: Well obviously you're good at basketball and I was wondering whether you could teach me how to be good again?

Jack G: You want me to teach you?

Me: If it's not too much to ask?

Jack G: No no I'd love to help you with basketball, and you're not as bad as you think, you just need to get some confidence-

Cameron: YO INSTAGRAM GUYS!

Everyone turned to the front of the bus where Cameron was sitting and smiled or pull a face for the picture.

Jack G: Anyway I'd love to teach you, it'll be nice to spend some time with you and play my favourite sport at the same time.

Me: Aw thank you so much Jack honestly means alot.

Jack G: No problem Lola, anything for you

Jack pulled out his phone and switched it to front camera, I looked at him confused.

Jack G: I wanna get a picture with my new bestfriend (friendzone much?)

I smiled and put my head close to his, we took a couple, we were just smiling on one, then stuck our tounges out, then pouted, then took a serious one, and for the last one I decided to go for it and I kissed Jack on the cheek, he pulled a cheeky grin.

We looked through the photos and decided to use two of them, the serious one and the cheek kiss one because Jack said he really liked that one, he made a collage of the two and posted it on instagram and twitter.

Me: Have you seen what people have been saying about us?

Jack G: The whole Jola thing? Yeah it's been everywhere, all over my social media, people really want us to be together

Me: Yeah it's really weird like this sort of thing has never happened to me before

Jack G: I think it's funny because like.. It's not asif we're... yano like we're not... together

Me: yeah i know I guess it's kinda funny

We chatted the whole way to Houston is was crazy how easy it was to talk to Jack, conversation just flowed with us.

We were only 20 minutes from our hotel so i went to go sort out my bag. Just as I was about to get up and leave Jack grabbed my hand, I looked back at him with a confused face, he pulled me closer to him.

Jack G: you forgot something (whispering)

Me: What? (whispering)

He moved towards my face and planted a soft kiss on my cheek, my eyes widened and my face got hot.

Jack G: Considering you gave me one it's only fair

I giggled and walked back to my seat, oh my jesus lord what the hell! I was having a hot flush I swear we arrived at the hotel.
