Chapter 21

I opened my eyes, i was lying down in the back of the car, it was dark, I looked ahead and all I could see was red dots from car's tail lights.

Jack J: How ya doing back there

Me: (groaned sleepily) good I.. How did I end up back here, and whats this? (Holding up a jacket that had been laid ontop of me)

Jack J: You fell asleep after about 5 hours on the road, when we pulled over to get gas me and Jack switched places for driving, he didn't want you being uncomfortable so he picked you up and let you lay down in the back, put his jacket over you incase you got cold.

I looked over at Jack G in the passenger seat, fast asleep, he looked so at peace.

Me: ..oh.. (I felt bad for him, he was so nice to me after I was so harsh, he's such a good person)

Jack J: You might aswell try and sleep again we've got a fair few hours till we get to Nebraska.

I closed my eyes and surely drifted off again.

"Hey come on sleepy you need some breakfast" I was being nudged awake and I groaned, rubbing my face with my hands, i managed to gain the strength to open my eyes to see Jack G's face staring at me smiling, his stupid perfect smile made me happy, I smirked a little but inside I was smiling like an idiot.

Jack G: Come one little one, you need some breakfast, we're only a few hours away and then you can lay down in a proper bed okay?

Me: (sigh) ..okay

I sat up and shuffled out of the car, it was a cool morning and we were outside this diner, Jack saw his jacket in the back and picked it up

Me: Oh yeah thank you by the way, Jack told me that you let me lay down and gave me you're jacket, I would have thanked you sooner if I wasn't unconscious

Jack chuckled and smirked at me, he put his jacked over my shoulders and gritted his teeth at me.

Me: Keep it.. Stay warm

He walked into the diner and I followed, Jack J was already in there. After breakfast Jack G drove us the rest of the way to get to his house, both boys got really excited when they pulled up to Jack G's drive as Jack J's family were at the house too, they only lived down the road. I suddenely became way too nervous, I looked rough as hell and was going to be introduced to so many people, all of whom I didn't know...

Me: I.. I.. i might wait out here for a while, let you two see your family and all.

Jack J: Lola you have to come in, you're part of the magcon family you're part of this family so get your butt in there

Me: But I look ratchet and I don't want that to be their first impression of me.

Jack G: You looked perfect trust me (turning off the engine, not looking at me but he still meant it, it was in his voice)

I smiled but tilted my face down so Jack couldn't see my face threw the rear view mirror, I sighed and got out off the car, I was wearing black leggings and a basket ball jersey which I seem to always wear, I'm not a hobo I promise it's just comfy.

I walked into the room completely nervous and awkward like I usually am with parents, I'm great with little kids and people my age but I feel so small against grown ups. Jack and Jack ran into the house with open arms to recieve the hugs of family members, I stood back.

A rather pretty woman came and put her arm around me. "Are you alright dear"

Me: Yes thank you I'm fine really just a little nervous and sleep deprived.

"Gosh that accent is adorable, English?" I nodded to her compliment and I smiled she smiled back, I like her "Come on sweetie lets take you away from this crowd of strangers and we can chat over a cup of tea" I really like the woman.

She sat me down in Jack G's kitchen and put the kettle on, she sat beside me.

"Sorry I didn't get your name" she was so lovely and kind, her smile was beautiful.

Me: I'm Lola, Lola Hill, I'm friends with Jack and Jack they invited me down for a road trip and to see Nebraska

"Oooh so you're Lola, I thought I recognised you, see even though I'm older I still watvh all my son's vines, I can tell he's very fond of you, oh I've been dying to meet you for months"

Me: Your son?

"Oh yes I apoligise I'm Jack's mother, Katherine Finnegan, i kept that name instead of Gilinsky"

Me: (eyes widened) Oh it's lovely to meet you Katherine (nervous laugh)

Oh shit I was having tea with Jack Gilinsky's mum.. Shit okay she doesn't know what happened between you two, keep it together.

Katherine: So tell me about yourself Lola, howcome you're in the states yet still have that gorgeous accent of yours?

Omg she was so sweet, we chatted for about 10 minutes before Jack G came into the kitchen.

Katherine: Oh Jack, I've just been getting to know you're friend, she's an absolute treat howcome this is the first time I've met her?

Jack: I.. Uh..

Me: We're newly close friends really, I mean we met at the last Magcon tour and as we live in seperate states it's not extremely simple *thinking* in more ways than one..

Jack: Yeah, plus this is the first oppurtunity I've had to bring her, it would have been weird to bring her when we just became friends

Katherine: But that adorable photo of you two was take months ago when you two first met, I remember because I thought you were his girlfriend. You two we're good friend quickly

Me and Jack looked at eachother, we knew it was true and what she was saying made sense, but it's difficult...

Me: Thank you so much for the tea, I'll go get my bags from the car.

Jack: I'll help you.

Katherine: Jack once you come back can you show Lola to Molly's room, she's away and Lola can sleep there.

Me: Thank you so much Katherine
