The view from above is fascinating. Once you see it, you can't stop seeing it. It's stuck in your head, burned in your eyes. The tall green trees. The blue cool sky. The animals that are dots compared to the whole scene. The rivers in the distance. Nothing looks too far when your in the sky.
If only that were the case for every thing with wings. Unfortunately, when he was just 10 years old, Robin was struck blind. He had gotten shot down by stray hunters that had been too far out to have come by accident. He had been in the sky, the vast open sky, barely keeping up with his parents in their tailwind.
He fell. Fell all the way down, hitting branches and plants as he went. Robin landed in a pile of wild growing roses. Thorns stuck to his arms and legs, embedded in his feathers. It took weeks to get them all out, of course after escaping the hunters. It took even longer to heal. But all of that was temporary, all of that would go away sooner or later. However, his sight would never come back. The thorns had scratched them out for good.
Now, 7 years later, Robin is desperate to see again. He is desperate for his family. In order to get his sight back and find his family, he must first find a witch. A kind witch, not one with tricks up his or her sleeve, but one who is compassionate and empathetic towards others. They are rare though. It will be hard, and filled with trials and errors. How will he fair?
