Miley's POV

Today's the day. We're going to film the first episode and it needs to define everything the audience will see us do and will expect from the rest of the season. Nick was exceptionally nervous in the morning, waking up early, taking his time in the bathroom, going to the gym. He did everything except worry about me.

I think the first word Nick said to me that day was around noon when he told me the crew has arrived and if I'm ready.

"Well, they've already drilled holes in my walls for electrical cords, so what choice do I have?" I said, which automatically upset him. "Miley...not this again, every day you come up with something to say and point out that you'd really rather not do this. Every day, we fight, got over it, and the next day you're trying to pick out a fight again."

"I'm not, hey it's a joke, alright? Chill." I said in defense, even though he's right. But he's been right too many times this week.

I wasn't sure and couldn't read Nick's vibe after that, so I didn't understand why he went over and grabbed my face to kiss me. "It's going to be great." He said under his breath "You'll do great things again. Time to shine."

I think all my anger and disapproval washed away when he said that. I thought he was being selfish, but this is for me too. I nodded and kissed him back, then took his hand to rub it. I love him so much and I'm glad he's getting a chance to shine again. He truly deserves it. He's talented and smart and hard working. He deserves recognition. He deserves everything good in the world.

When the crew arrived it became too busy to comprehend, they made me sit down on the kitchen—that doesn't even look like my kitchen anymore—and fixed my make-up to match the light as they director feeds me what this episode will be about and how he wants me to act.

"Just act natural. It's a reality show, after all. Do anything you want, say something controversial, roll your eyes just don't over-do it. Show the audience the real you." He told me "So, what's going to happen is you and Nick just moved into the house. You're delighted!"

"That's all?" I asked. Sounds kinda boring. Who will watch it?

He nodded "Once we're done we'll move on to the next scene."

I shrugged. Good enough for me. It won't be my fault when ratings fall due to lack of content. At last it was time to shoot, the cameramen lined up from the front door to the kitchen. The director called action and to my surprise the front door opened and some extras were hauling furniture into the house, making the illusion that the trucks just dropped it off and they're putting in.

One of the men came up to me, the camera moved to me and he asked me to sign it. I did it and then tried to act so happy that I got furniture that I didn't even order. "Thank you," I said and the man left. I glanced at the director but his eyes were glued to the viewing screen, out of nowhere Nick came into the room with a wide smile across his face.

"So, that's the last of it." He said to me "Finally."

My head went blank, then a voice in my head said improvise. "Finally. Just the two of us. New house...new life." I said, but regretted it because it sounds so corny, but I thought I had to at least explain the situation "I'm so glad we got this house. It's perfect."

He smirked back, the director signaled for us to keep going. Nick spoke up "Well, you did that. You've worked nonstop since we moved to make this place look amazing. Every. Single. Room."
