"I better go" I announced. I went to stand up and Calum tightened his grip on me.

"Whhhyyyy?" He whined, pouting.

"I have to go speak to Luke about all this bullshit, and I've got to finish that geography project, it's due in tomorrow" I explained.

"I finished that ages ago. and since when do you care about homework anyway" he said smirking

"Shut up, nerd" I said, pushing him playfully.

"Can't you just stay here a little longer" he pleaded, adjusting his glasses on the bridge of his nose.

"I'm sorry Cal, I have to go." I said. I released myself from his grip and stood up.

He stood up and pulled me into a hug, resting his chin on my head.

"I'll see you tomorrow" I said, before kissing him softly.

"See you tomorrow." He replied.

I kissed him again before leaving his house.

I pulled up outside Luke's house. Starting to get nervous I lit a cigarette and took a long drag to calm my self down. I exhaled heavily before knocking on Luke's door.

"Arabella" he greeted me, smiling as he answered the door.

"Luke." I said bluntly, taking another drag of my cigarette.

"What's the matter baby? Why are you being so blunt?" He asked

"Don't baby me! You know full well what you've done Luke." I told him.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He lied

"Yes you do!

Why the fuck did you lie to Calum?" I asked

"Oh, that. Right.." He said

"Yes, that. Why would you do that? For fucks sake Luke, you're supposed to be my bestfriend and you're just trying to fuck everything up for me!" I yelled

"Arabella, stop yelling. Come inside." He said calmly.

"No, I'm not coming inside. I can talk to you here, there's not a lot more I have to say." I told him.

"Look, I only said those things to Calum because I wanted to protect you." He said.

"Protect me from what!" I asked.

"I didn't want you to fall for Calum ok?! I'm scared he's going to break your heart like all boys do. I wanted to show you that I'd never hurt you, I'd never break your heart like the other guys. I fucking love you, I can't see you get hurt again." He explained.

"So you did it because you were jealous." I stated.

"N-no, well, yeah, kind of, but It was in order to protect you, and keep you happy." He said

"Keep me happy?! Well you've done a great job at that haven't you." I said sarcastically.

"I'm sorry Bella. I know I fucked up, but please let me fix this." He said.

"No Luke! you know what? I'm done with you. I'm fucking done. You're supposed to be my bestfriend, you're supposed to be there for me, but all you seem to do is fuck things up so they work in your favour. You're like a fucking anchor that keeps weighing me down, and you know what the worst part is? I've never been able to stand up to you, or just walk away, because I really love you, you're like a brother to me and it kills me to think that we could ever not be close. But you've fucked up too many times now Luke and I'm done with it.

I'll see you around" I told him.
