"HEY HEY! PUT YOUR weapons down! She is not a threat!" Leo raises his hands up in surrender as he tries to convince the Resistance fighters.
I take a step forward and every one tenses up. I sense the girl next to me place a finger on the trigger so I take a step back.
A voice projects from the crowd. I scan the rebels to see where the voice was coming from. "I am sorry to say this but as long as a Storm Trooper is on our base we will not be putting our weapons down." The crowd creates a tunnel as a tall slender woman walks out from the rebels. She is cloaked in a purplish tan dress. The long sleeve has a turtle neck that reaches to the bottom of her chin. Her short light purple hair has a moon shaped head piece attached to the back of her head.
"General Holdo." Leo bows to show respect but my eyes narrow taking a natural unliking to this woman.
"Leon Stakins. And this must be Sal."
I crinkle my noise with distaste.
"You can call me Salina."
Leo let's out a light heart laugh. "Sorry she doesn't talk to many people."
"I am perfectly capable..." Leo nudges my ribs making my cut off short. I give him an annoyed look as I scan the crowd with utter disliking. I hate this.
I cross my arms. General Holdo gestures with her hand to follow. "Now if you will come with me I will show you inside."
"Ah, no thanks. If you could just point me in the direction of the nearest exit that would be great." I turn around and start to walk up the ramp. But Leo grams my shoulders spinning me around pulling me along with him.
Instantly five rebels swarm around the General creating a shield as I trail behind Leo. The crowd dispersed as everyone goes back to the normal tasks.
I notice two rebels flank us from behind. I cast a glare over my shoulder as I feel something brush against me.
Leo walks beside me as he whispers. "You know you shouldn't be so rude. These people are taking you in. Beside the General is amazing. She is probably my role model. She is famous."
I roll my eyes at the look of awe that spreads across his face. Well if you like her so much the why don't you forget about me and go marry her. For god sake she isn't a goddess.
My annoyance is at its max level as I look around. We have walked into a small hanger. I am not impressed. The Resistance must be more poor then I thought they were. Because the only shops I spot in the hanger are two X-wing fighters.
I scoff and Holdo must have heard me because she turns around opening her arms up stating, "This is the private hanger. Our main hanger is bigger then this, of course. But I don't think we should show you that yet."
"Why not?" I say harshly.
She doesn't answer my question as she grabs the handle to a door and pulls to open it. Wow they don't even have the high tech we have.
We walk down a long corridor. I keep my eyes pealed but there is nothing really to keep note on. It is a simple plain hallway. They must be shielding me from the real base.
Suddenly we stop in front of a door. Holdo punches in a code and then has to manually open the door again. The guards move to the side as we walk in. As I pass the guards I sneer at them but it doesn't phase them. I trudge inside as the door slams behind me. I jump not expecting the harshness of the door.
I watch as Holdo sits at the head of the table. She pats the chairs on either side of her. Leo happily obeys with quickness as he jumps to her command. I however walk right past the chair I as supposed to sit in and plop myself in the head chair on the opposite side. I sit on the edge of my seat Incase I need to get out quick.
Leo looks at me with disappointment. "Sal don't you want to sit in that chair." He motions with his eyes as he digs fly begs me. I just cross my arms and sink into my chair.
"She is find where she is. So Salina we have limit information about you. But from what we heard you are a storm trooper that was taken at a young age and enhanced. Is that correct?" Holdo places her hand on the table and claps them together. Her posture is to perfect.
"Yes it is true. It's also true that I could run over to you and snap your neck before you could even blink."
"Sal!" Leo looks troubled with my statement but I only smirk.
"Yes yes. Well that's very impressive. Salina you do know that here you are free. You won't have worry about being punished. You can finally do everything you wanted. The Resistance welcomes you with open arms." A small smile stretches across her face. My eyes flick Leo. His expression is minimal but it says everything.
NO! NO! What are you thinking? You can't join them. You are with the First Order. The First Order is good. The Resistance is bad. You are a storm trooper and storm troopers don't show mercy. You live a simple life full of tremendous training and painful punishments. But that is what you grew up knowing. Changing is not an option.
Something grips my hands. I hadn't noticed that I was start at my handing in my lap. I look up and I see Leo once more. His expression is sad but happy. He is so... No I can't think like that No! But what if... no!
No but what if? The Resistance can offer me something I had always longed for. I could have my freedom. I could have Leo. All I need is him and I would be happy. I could be happy. That word is so foreign to me I thought I could never posses it. But now they are offering me a chance to have it. I could be selfish for once in my life and look at my own interest or obey the First Order. I could betray Leo or save him.
I find my mouth moving with out me knowing. My lips betray me. I never let my eyes leave Leo's face as I shakily say. "The First Order. They are coming."
I hear a voice from the side of me, "Oh darling we already know."VOTE AND COMMENT!!
