Hey, I know the last two chapters didn't have much of the Tek Tek in it, but this chapter will, I promise. It's pretty long, but it'll have a bit of suspense in it. I'm not one to rush things all the time....Well enjoy, I guess this counts as the author's note , this was written by me, Pj, don't worry Jadey will add stuff soon, she's really busy! Remember to vote and comment if you liked it! I worked really hard on this! As you can see it has plenty of detail. Thx!!
"It's cold out here, onee-chan..." Nana sniffled, using the same tissue the man had gave her back in the library to wipe her nose. She'd used the same tissue about twenty one times exactly; she'd counted. Her nose was constantly runny, and Naomi couldn't bear to see the snot coming out of her nose almost like a waterfall. (Ew.)
The trio sat huddled up next to one another against a tree. The cold penetrating the sisters' jackets, and sending shivers all down their spines. It's worse for Naomi, she didn't even have a jacket, but her school uniform had long sleeves to it. But the short skirt wasn't really helping at all.
Long dead autumn leaves scuttled over the ground as an icy wind blew, also twirling the girls' hair. Except for Nana's, which was tied into two small buns. She often complained she had really short hair while they were still living with their parents. Her mom had told her that it would grow out soon, but she wasn't so sure. The sky above them was a moody gray color, and bare trees' branches swayed in the wind, a few leaves still hanging from them. There was still traffic, of course, and every now and then they'd hear the sound of their engines as they whirred down the street, and plenty more city sounds. They sat in a small playground area filled with dead leaves everywhere. The three lone girls just sat against a thick tree shivering their butts off. It was a gloomy setting to be in, and the scenery was like the type after it had rained or after a thunderstorm, the sky still had that look to it and it was awfully chilly.
"I know it is, Nana-chan." Ayaka replied through chattering teeth. "I need to go get us some new, warm winter coats and a pair of gloves. Maybe a scarf or ear muffs."
"It is cold..." Naomi murmured, looking at her hands that were halfway numb. She bent them a little bit to keep the blood circulation going."But....Will you have to steal all those stuff...?" She asked afterwards, knowing the answer but dreading it.
"Maybe." Ayaka replied with a shrug. She pulled on her jacket tighter around her and failed a few attempts to zip the jacket up all the way since the zipper was jammed. "We'll see, maybe I can pay for it..."
"How?" Naomi asked, looking her way as she softly blew on her fingertips to keep them warm.
"Money." Ayaka stated the obvious, still working on the zipper. Nana was looking up at the sky and bare tree branches with a wistful look on her face. She barely had enough sleep at the library, and struggled to close her eyes and drift off into dream land. But the cold was getting in the way, and she didn't want to miss out on anything. So she just peacefully watched the gray sky and last few leaves fall and brush her face
"How did you get money?" Naomi asked, rubbing her hands together to create some friction. So far nothing was working. "I mean, it's obvious you don't always have money with the stealing and stuff."
"Wellll....." Ayaka trailed off, digging in her jacket's pocket and fishing out a few dollar bills and coins. "I have about nine dollars and seventy two cents, but I could get some more."
"How?" Naomi asked once more out of curiosity. She began to curl up in a small ball as if it could block out the cold and shuddered from the goosebumps the autumn breeze was giving her.
