TREVOR
I want to feel her again.
He's wearing a white long sleeve and a black pants. He's also quiet and calm.
"Tito...
"You used to hate this place, Trev."
I used to pray hard before that she's just somewhere around. That she's still alive at nagpapagaling lang. But that never happen.
"Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, Trev. You deserve to be happy again after of what happened. And I am glad that you finally found someone you can love."
"Thank you." Mahina kong usal.
"I hope that Liyah is finally at peace now.
"Does it matter? As long as she's happy then I will be happy. "
"Are you sure about that? "
"She's gone now, wala ng dahilan pa para maging lubusang masaya."
"I see. So you're still hurt until now. Pero paano ang mapapangasawa mo? Do you think she deserve to marry a wounded man? "
"I need her, tito. She helped me to get through from my pain. She's always been there for me."
"But she's not my daughter that's why you can't fully be happy, tama ba ako?"
"I treat you more than a son, lalo na ng magpakasal kayo ng anak ko. You're still my son-in-law Trevor. And I am worried about the thing that you will do. You're going to commit yourself to a girl eventhough you're still incomplete."
Not unless my wife is alive which is impossible."
"What if-" tito cleared his throat, "what if she's still alive and came back again? Anong gagawin mo? "
I shot dagger look to tito Gregorio. What nonsense is he talking about? That will be impossible. Liyah will never come back again. She's in heaven now.
Natahimik ako. Wala akong mahanap na maaaring isagot. Pero ngumiti lang si tito sa akin. Ngiting nakakaunawa.
"It's so hard to answer right? Because you're still into my daughter and yet here you are, commiting yourself to other woman. But one thing is for sure, I won't let my daughter to get hurt. I will do everything to keep her heart intact and safe from heartache."
