Our Boys

It was around 6 that evening. Luke had left about 45 minutes ago to go get the boys. He said he'd stop at the store on the way home to get some food since we were basically out of everything. I had thrown laundry in and changed out sheets. I was lying there on my phone. I got a text from Luke.

Lukey💙: we are at the store, the boys are super excited to see you. As am I 😊, do you need anything special?

Me: nah, I'm good babe thank you though.

I smiled big. I was so happy the boys were coming back tonight. Also Luke meets with the lawyers and Coraline tomorrow to rearrange somethings since we are married now. I kept falling asleep and waking myself up. I texted Luke.

Me: I'm so tired 😩

It took him a few minutes but he texted back.

Lukey💙: I'm sorry sweetie. How about you take a nap and the boys will wake you when we get home.

Me: that's not fair to you.

Lukey💙: I'm not the one laying in a bit comfy bed that's why I'm so awake. Besides they are looking at stuff because they want to get you a present.

Me: awh❤️❤️ I love them and you so much.

Lukey💙: I love you beautiful. Now get some sleep. We will see you soon.

**lukes pov**

Kells didn't text me back. The boys were looking at cards to get her. Tate kept grabbing birthday cards.
Bo kept yelling at him.

"Boys how about we go home and make her a card? She's taking a nap so we will have time." I said to them.
"Crayooons!!?" Tate asked.
"Sure thing buddy."

We went and got some paper and stickers and stuff. Then we were going to get food.

"How about we make mommy a special dinner." I asked.
"Yeahhh!" They both yelled.

I went to the butcher and had him get me some of the best steaks they had. Then I went over to the seafood and got some lobster tails. We got potatoes to roast and stuff to make a side salad. I got some other stuff to Just the essentials we needed. We were walking to the check out and Bo stopped walking.

"Daddy can we get her flowers?" He asked pointing to the cooler of flowers.
"How about we order her some from an actual florist tomorrow." I said.
"But Daddy they have her favorite..." He said upset pointing to the Gerber daisies.
"Go ahead grab them." I said to him. He got excited and grabbed 3 bunches. I laughed.

We checked out and went to the truck. I got Tate in his seat and bo got into his booster seat. I opened up the bed and put the groceries in. I handed Bo the flowers and he laid them on the back seat next to him smiling.

I had my phone plugged in because I absolutely hated listening to the radio. The boys were back there dancing and singing along.

We didn't get home until 830. Whenever we got in they started making their cards as I started cutting the potatoes and preparing all of the food.

By 9 everything was cooking. They were done with their cards. I told them that we had about 10 mins before I had to do the stuff on the grill. Bo asked if they could both go up alone and surprise Kells so I let them.

**Kells POV**

"Mommmmmyyyyyy!" Both of the boys yelled as they jumped on me o the bed. I rolled over and turned the light on. Tate climbed under the covers with me and snuggled in.

"My boys. " I said kissing each of their heads.
"We missed you." Bo said. "Here we got you these and made you these." He said as he handed me tons of gerber daisies and two homemade cards. I looked at them and gave them each a kiss on the cheek.

"How was your trip???" Bo asked as Tate still snuggled in.
"It was good but we missed you two like crazy."

Bo finally snuggled in on the other side of Tate.

"Where's Daddy at?" I asked
"Cooking!" Tate said.
"Tate!!! It's a surprise."
"Sorry..." Tate said in a sad little voice.
"He's on my nerves mommy." Bo said.
"Why?"  I asked.
"He has to do whatever I do!!!" He whined. I kissed his head.
"He Just loves his big brother." I told him. He rolled his eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me mr." I said I started tickling him. He was laughing. Tate started whining.

"What's wrong buddy?" I asked.
"Me want you..." he said crying.
"I can get you both."  I said and started tickling both of them. They were laughing so hard.

There was a little knock on the door. I looked to see Luke standing in the doorway smiling.

"Ready to eat you three?"  He asked.
"Yeahhh!!" They both yelled jumping down running out.

"Bo make sure Tate doesn't fall down the steps." He yelled. Luke came over and leaned over me and started kissing me. I had to push him away.

He sighed.

"I missed you." He told me.
"I missed you too." I said smiling.
"They excited?" He asked laughing.
"So much. Makes me feel good. But Bo is having a rough time with Tate being so clingy... maybe tomorrow you can spend some time with Just Bo."
"Sounds wonderful darling. Let's go eat."

He took my hand and we walked down the steps. The boys were both sitting at the table eating some biscuits.

"Tate do you want the dinner or macaroni and cheese?" He asked.
"Mac cheese!" He yelled.
"Tate Daddy Cooked you should eat It " bo said.
"Fine dinner...." Tate said lowly.
"Thomas Boyer he is fine" Luke said sternly. He already has made the macaroni and cheese he gave Tate a bowl.

He had stuff cut up for Bo on a plate and gave It to him.

"Bo Bo do you want something different?" I asked him.
"No I like this stuff because I'm not a baby." He said looking at Tate.
"Boy what is your problem." Luke said mad. As he was bringing our plates over.

"He's such a baby dad! Why did you even have him??" He asked. Tate started crying and ran over to me to cuddle.
"Because every little boy needs a brother. Trust me I'd give anything to have my brother back." He said. I froze. That's the first time he's brought Chris up to the boys.
"Daddy you've never had a brother" Bo said.
"Thomas Boyer you have a lot to learn about your Daddy." Luke said sitting down. I saw how frustrated he was.

It was silent most of the dinner except Tate laughing as I helped feed him since we were playing a little. Bo was done and was sitting there playing with his fork.

"Can I go yet?" He asked.
"We are still eating." Luke said.
"But Mom lets us leave she lets us eat in our room so she doesn't have to deal with us." He said. Luke looked over at him.
"Excuse me." He said.
"What? She doesn't want us to meet her friends."
"What friends?"
"Whatever Guy She has over So we are sent to our room with dinner. I help Tate changed unless he pooped then I have to call her because that's gross." He said in a little voice.

Luke looked at me shocked. Bo snuggled in.

"I love you my mommy." He said to me.

I got tears in my eyes.

"I love you too. So much buddy." I said kissing his head. I reached my hand over and grabbed Bos.
"And I love you so much too Bo Bo." He smiled big.
