Jollof rice (Ghana)

This is the renowned Ghanaian food. Did you know there was a debate between Ghana and Nigeria. We were arguing about which country has the best and delicious 😋 jollof. Do you wanna know the country which won?😉😉😀.

INGREDIENTS
2cups of long grain rice
200ml cooking oil
1kg chicken 🍗
3tbsp of tomato paste
2 big onions
1 Small Ginger
2pcs of garlic (optional)
1 tbsp of grind pepper
Green beans
2 tbsp of corned beef
1 chicken stock
Salt to taste
Macaroni
1 1/2 of water

METHOD
Wash and cut the chicken into preferred sizes.
Put it in a saucepan.
Blend the ginger, 1 onion and the garlic.
Pour it unto the chicken and add the chicken stock and salt.steam for 3 mins.
Remove the chicken from the stock.
Pour the cooking oil into a frying pan.Add the chicken, let it fry till it's colour is golden brown.
Remove the fried chicken from the oil.

Pour the oil into a bigger saucepan.
Wash and chop the onions and green beans.
Put the saucepan with oil on fire.Pour in the chopped onions.
Fry it slightly and add the tomato paste and fry it for 2mins.
Add the chicken stock and grind pepper and stir. Let it cook for 2mins.
Add the green beans,Macaroni
and rice.
Stir and add the water.stir again and cover it.
Leave it to cook(please check on it timely and turn it over for it to cook nicely. 
It is ready when all the water is absorbed by the rice and the rice is soft for consuming.

When ready serve with the fried chicken 🍗. Jollof can be taken with any soft drink and sallad.
