Throughout the whole ride, tahimik lang kami.
No one spoke a single word.
Whenever I attempt to start a convo, hindi ko maituloy.
Kasi the moment na tingnan ko siya, parang ang weird.
"Nandito na tayo." Sabi ni Manong.
"Oh, ito manong. 2 thousand, bumili ka ng pagkain na gusto mo. Mag-tetext nalang ako kung magpapasundo na kami."
"Salamat." Sabi naman ni manong.
"Oh siya. Una na kami ha?" Sabi ko sabay hila kay Kathy ko papunta sa loob ng MOA.
The moment our hands touched parang may electricity.
Parang may spark.
Shocks. Ang corny ko ah.
After a minute of walking, I felt her hand slowly slip out from mine.
"Bakit mo binitawan?" Sabi ko.
"Eh, girls are giving me glares." She said sabay kamot sa ulo.
Cute.
"Hayaan mo nga sila." I said as I entertwined our fingers.
She looked at me for a second but she didn't let go.
"We're here." I said to her as we went through the restaurant's entrance.
"Coach, andito na si Cap!"
"May kasamang chick."
"Nice choice Cap!"
"May pa holding hands pa!"
Ang ingay talaga ng team kahit kailan.
"Nadine?" Sabi ni Kathy ko.
"Best! Dito ka umupo sa tabi ko dali."
She sat down beside Nadine while I sat down beside her.
Si James naman, nasa right ni Nadine.
"Hi. What's your name?" Tanong ng isa kong team mate.
"Her name is Kathryn Chandria Bernardo and she's not available." Inis kong sabi.
"Bakit di siya available? Kayo na ba?" tanong naman ng isa.
"Yes."
"No!"
Sabay pa kaming dalawa nagsalita.
She glared at me and I sighed.
"Oo na. We're not together but that doesn't mean that any of you can make a move on her."
"And why not?" Tanong ni Kevin.
"Because I'm not into relationships. I'm not interested and if ever magkaboyfriend man ako, which will be quite impossible, he will have to be the best of the best. I have a high standard kasi. And I'm not gonna entertain suitors until I graduate from college. Pero, if he's worth it, maybe I'll answer him when I graduate from highschool nalang." Sabi ni Kathy ko.
Napanganga ang mga teammates ko.
That includes me.
"Grabe best ha, makaspeech lang?" Sabi ni Nadine.
