Water pooled in the bottom of the sink as I finished washing my hands and turned off the valve. I looked up and saw that my reflection had been replaced by steam on the bathroom mirror. With a shaky hand I placed my finger against the cool glass and wrote the word ‘baby before wiping it off just as quickly as I had written it. I couldn't be pregnant. It was virtually impossible given my sex and transformation into a vampire.

But the sheer panic spreading throughout my body as another wave of sickness traveled up my throat, forced me to put a hand over my mouth as I darted for the toilet and started vomiting blood. FML! I thought. Two more heaves and it was over, for now. With a groan I flushed the grim evidence away provided that I didn't have another attack in the next five minutes.

As the nausea diminished bit by bit, I got to my feet and shuffled like a zombie out of the bathroom. Back in the master bedroom, where the shoved off covers reminded me of my quick exit, the urge to lie down and rest didn't seem to catch my interest. Instead, I left the room and walked down the corridor in hopes of finding a familiar face around here somewhere.

I made it safely down the grand staircase, gripping the railing firmly in my hand until I was on solid ground. I looked around the place but saw no sight of Dracula or Nicolas for that matter. But thanks to my new powers, I was able to track the two men to a spare room at the back of the castle. A room that was every hacker's dream. Three monitors sat openly atop a glass desk surrounded by various other geeky equipment.

I pushed the door to the room a little wider as I squeezed through the crack undetected. Except neither of them looked up, their eyes locked on the information in front of them. At first glance, everything seemed to be connected on one giant mainframe. And since it was powered by electricity, that must mean there had to be a power cord around here somewhere; I just needed to find it and hello reality.

I glanced down at the floor where a thick black cord snaked across the room and plugged into the wall. I went to it and wrapped my fingers around the cord, pulling it gently just as the power in the room went out, plunging the three of us into darkness. Nicolas looked up from his computer, his hand fumbled over the endless array of cords until he tugged on the main cord that I was currently holding.

"Hey! What the hell, Nathan?"

"Nice to see you too, Nicolas. Now if you don't mind, I would like to speak with my fiancé for just a minute."

He opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out thanks to Dracula patting him on the shoulder. In turn, Dracula made his way effortlessly around the desk where he took me by the hand and lead me out of the room and into the parlor next door. He closed the sliding door behind himself and sat down on the couch with me on his lap. His chest was bare and irresistible, just like the vein in his neck.

I licked my lips, my mouth watering. My eyes narrowed in on the vein as I sensed the blood that gave forth new life. I leaned in close, nuzzling his neck as my lips brushed along his skin. My gums throbbed, my newly undead heart racing. My breath coming shorter and quicker. I had no choice but to straddle him now in hopes that he would let me take a bite out of him, to control my hunger.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Anything baby," he replied.

"Is it possible that I may draw from your vein for a few minutes? I've only just recently had an episode upstairs in the bathroom, which has left me feeling depleted."

His eyes burned with lust as he cranked his head back, exposing his neck. Closing the distance between my fangs and his vein was like the world's slowest quicksand. I parted my lips as I felt the touch of his hands on my waist burning through the fabric of my nightshirt. His voice cooed in my ear just before I was about to strike and taste my eternal victory for the fourth time this week since this whole thing started.
