The boulder rolled over to one side as the sun faded away into darkness. The air smelled much fresher at night, less pollution and cleaner air as I breathed it into my lungs and caught the scent of gunpowder and decomposition. I followed the scent with my eyes until I landed on my old house. A human male Officer was walking Nathan toward his police cruiser before driving off without so much as a second thought.

Anger flooded my veins like a volcano. The fire that raged through me was undeniable, endless. Somebody was going to lose a head or two before the night was through. I'd make sure of it. I leapt off the side of the mountain and hit the ground running at a dead run as I followed alongside the cop and my future mate.

Music played quietly in the background, but neither of them talked. Nathan's heart stayed at a perfect rhythm the entire drive to the police station that was located in the city of Bucharest. Perched on top of a rooftop looking down on the parking lot below, my eyes narrowed in on Nathan. The engine shut off, the doors opened and closed, together they walked side-by-side and entered through the back entrance.

My blood burned, my fangs elongated. The urge to go in there and kill everyone in sight sounded like a good idea, but at what cost? I knew I had to play this safe somehow. Looking at the rooftop across from me. I noticed an old access door that would make an ideal entry point for starters. Standing up. I took a few steps back from the edge and with a running jump, leapt across the night sky before rolling to a stop on a patch of gravel.

Boy, talk about a rough landing.

The door handle felt flimsy, the lock rusty. A quick twist of the wrist and I was inside and down a flight of stairs in under twenty seconds. Another door provided access to the second floor as I peeked outside and waited until the cost was clear before walking down the hallway to a changing room. A lonely male Officer stood with his back to me as I appeared behind him and knocked him unconscious, taking his uniform in the process.

Once I was suited up, I left the room and went in search of Nathan. His scent was nearby, I could smell him one floor directly beneath me. I followed the trail to a dimly lit room at the end of a hallway next to a window that looked out onto the sidewalk below. Nathan was there sitting in his seat, his hands folded neatly together as he quietly stared off into space.

Detective Nicolas Gabor

"What are you doing?" A man asked beside me.

I stared at the strange human in question as his eyes looked me up and down. Black slacks, a black V-neck shirt, hand-made leather boots and an insignia on his belt. This human was not armed. But certainly well put together. Shorter then me, his arms were nicely developed as well as the rest of his body. He would make a fine addition to my growing army in the coming days. However, I would need to rescue Nathan first being getting down to business.

The cop was growing impatient. "I said: what are you doing here?"

"Is he to be a prisoner of war?"
