Feeling the sun on my face for the first since becoming a vampire was like a warm towel fresh out of the dryer. I stared at my skin in awe, waiting for it to burst into flames, but it didn't. How is this possible? I thought to myself, turning to face Dracula who remained in the shadows. The whole thing seemed to be a dream at first, but the blissful breeze on my cheeks told me that what was happening right now was indeed real.
I returned to his side a moment later as he took me in his arms and stared deeply into my eyes with great intent. His touch was comforting, like a life preserver and I held on tight with all my might afraid to let go. With our bodies pressed firmly together, Dracula took off at a dead run heading deeper into the city where even the sun had yet to grace the darkest corners with its golden light.
A small hotel was to be our destination as Dracula paid for our room in cash while never leaving me out of his sight. He took my hand and walked up the stairs to the third floor and placed the key into the lock and turned the handle. The room looked like it hadn't been updated in years since its original construction. The carpet was plain, the walls plaster and covered in wallpaper. The bathroom was across from the bed with only one sink, a toilet and a shower.
Surely, the place had a certain charm. But it would never hold a candle to Castle Dracula. I sniffed the air and could almost smell the past and feel the presence of every person that ever stayed in this room. Quite freaky if you ask me. Dracula moved past me and went over to the window, closing the drapes that weren't dark enough to block out the rays of sunlight that filtered in through the thin fabric.
He sighed in annoyance and resolved the issue by tearing off the shower curtain and taping it over the window completely from the roll of duct tape downstairs. I could only imagine the look on the middle-aged man's face when he handed Dracula the tape. It must've been priceless if not filled with concern given my delicate condition. Afterwards, Dracula took a step back and admired his handiwork with his hands on his hips.
"I think Tim Allen would be proud of you babe." I said with a laugh.
"Who in the hell is that?" He replied.
I shook my head. "Nothing. Forget I ever said anything. Well, so much for me taking a shower."
"The curtains are only temporary until nightfall. You can take your shower then."
I nodded in silence and kicked off my boots as I laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. I counted my breathing until I fell asleep and dreamt of nothing, absolutely nothing. Hours went by in a matter of minutes and when I awoke, night had fallen which mean't the use of the shower curtain was no longer needed, and I could take a much needed hot shower to calm my nerves after an unexpected day.
But somebody else had already beat me to it. A quick scan of the room once I was able to sit up, told me that Dracula had undressed himself sometime early on during the night and took it upon himself to use the shower while I slept. I swung my legs over the side and stood up carefully, almost losing my balance in the process. I stormed into the bathroom in a jealous rage, yanking back the curtain.
"Are you out of your freaking mind?!" I said, staring a buck naked vampire.
"Hey, you're awake. I'm almost done here. I'll be out in a minute."
"And there better be some hot water left," I growled.
"You're welcome to join me. No sense in wasting water by taking two separate showers."
I didn't answer him and instead decided to wait as I leaned against the sink and watched as he finished rinsing himself off. Who knew that watching someone take a shower could be so sexy. Dracula made it very rewarding without even trying as he turned around and showed off the smooth, bubble curves of his ass. I bit my bottom lip as my fangs extended and a rush of sexual energy coursed through my veins.
