Arriving in UlaUla you meet up with Sophocles and Acerola. They both are smiling and welcoming you. They apologize for not having their trials ready because they've been ambushed so they offer a double battle for your Z-crystals. You have the right to refuse, as this isn't another trial. But you may never get the chance to earn these Z-crystals again. There will be an option that says your pokemon need to be healed and then they will heal your team before battle.
After doing the battle Kukui will appear. He will ask about your ride pager and ask to see it. Then a Charizard flys behind him. He introduces you to Charizard and the ride pager. After lesrnkgn about how to summon Pokémon using it you get a flashback of your mom sayign return Pidgiot when you can.
Before you seem off to your Mom Hau and Lillie come forward and ask you to meet them on PoniPoni island, since there is nothing sincere to do here. You can explore UlaUla island before heading off to your Mom's to return Pidgiot. But you cannot go to the next islands until you do.
There are many sidequests on UlaUla island. For instance: at the thrifty megamart you will see Colress asking you to catch one of these fascinating imposters called Mimikyu and giving it to him. Another sidequest is that you can find Darla and Cynthia at Malie garden. You can battle them. They have the same team but each Pokémon is raised by 5 - 10 levels. Another is you can find Lillie at the Ruins and have to save Nebby (cosmog) from the spesrow. The final sidequest you can do is for Sophocles. This one is really tricky. You have to find four delibird around the island. Each of them will ask a question. If you get it right you catch the delibird. If you get it wrong you have to battle to catch the delibird. Sophocles wants al, four delibird returned to him. You never learn why.
When you fly back home in Pallet town on the ride Pokemon (Pidgiot is now unavailable to fly) your mom is waiting outside for you on the porch. She thanks you for returning Pidgiot and gives you a nice Six-pack of soda pop for the road. The option to fly to PoniPoni island on Charizard is now avaible. But you can scour Kanto again And all of Alola for side quests and hidden items like Mega Stones. One side quest in Kanto is that you can meet up with a mysterious character who is blind. She is holding a forgin Pokemon you don't recognize close tomher chest And has a seeing-eye pokemon at her side. She talks to you.

Thst Stone is very important. The player should give thst to their most favorable Pokémon before going to PoniPoni. It's a sidequest thst could change the game.
