You can choose wether to take on Alice or Aria first. Alice has a level seventy vileplume and Aria has a level seventy Electabuzz.
After those wins you have a pause where you can heal your Pokémon with healing items. But the isntsmt you take the next step forward towards Drake three more trainers appear. Mariah, Cynthia, and Darla challenge you to a triple battle. You have to accept. They have six Pokémon. One of Darla's, one of Cynthia's, and four of Mariah's. They use a level seventy regular Exeggutor, a level seventy one Flareon, a level seventy Pikachu, a level seventy one ninetailes, a level seventy Gengar, And a level seventy five Beedrill that can Mega Evolve. You have to try until you beat them. Once you do Cynthia and Darla will run off while Mariah complains. She struts away to reveal Drake. None of his Pokemon were seen before so this should be fun.
But lucky for you, Wally would be right there and he'd heal your Pokémon. If you did his side quest he would ask if you wanted to borrow Gallade and his mega stone, of you didn't do the sidequest you wouldn't get the option. Now Drake was going to battle you.

How?! Wishiwashi should have caused a wipeout! No matter, the Professor ca take of you the instant you set foot in Unova! Have fun dealing with the Professor, kid. I hope you lose!
Drake runs off leaving you and Wally. If you borrowed his Gallade you have to return it Now. Wally suggests training more in the Battle tree if you haven't or doing your island challenge fin you haven't already.
There are no sidequests in Alola other than the battle tree. Unova is now avaible to fly to on your map.
