"Bye mother, I'm going on a walk around the village." Young Rosette shouted in her soft voice from the front door of her home.
"Don't go that far Rosette."
"I know, I know. I won't." She replied.
Rosette was only 12 at the time in a red, knee length swing dress with red slippers and curly brunette hair with an innocent adorable smile. Only she wasn't as innocent as many thought. For this is the 52nd time she lied to her parents, in fact it's the same lie as all the other ones. She wasn't going for a walk around the village, she was meeting up with a friend. A friend who her parents wouldn't approve of, hence the reason why she's not telling them. But it's not her nor is it her friend's fault that their parents don't have a strong liking with one another. Who's the other person you ask, well its none other than the one and only Phillip Carlyle. A boy she met while wandering around a spot outside the village and ever sense that incident that ended with her on her bottom in a mud puddle and he with ice cream dripping down his shirt, they have been meeting up with each other at the exact same spot they first met.
Rosette made her way towards the small area of woods where the sun shines perfectly above the tree's and the left over rain from the day before sparkles on all of the leaves. She smiled as she saw Phillip already there. She hid behind a bush and made sure to step on a stick to creep him out.
Phillips head snapped behind him hearing the sound of a stick snap.
"Hello?" He shouted out after hearing another sound.
When he didn't get a reply he grabbed a stick from the ground and slowly began to make his way towards the spot where the noise came from.
When he was close the bush he yelled before jumping in front of it and swinging the stick in his hand at who ever was in front of him not noticing it was Rosette until he heard a small squeal. He opened his eyes to see Juliette with her hand on her cheek.
"I think I'm bleeding." She informed him taking her hand off her cheek to notice a small amount of blood at the tip of her fingers.
"Sorry." Phillip apollagized wincing at the small cat like scratch on her cheek.
"It's okay, I'm fine. Remind me not to sneak up on you." She joked.
Phillip smiled at her and she smiled back before they hugged.
"Hi." She spoke.
"Hey." He replied.
They pulled away before beginning their walk to the pond.
"My parents almost found out. They kept asking me why I always go for walks around the village every Friday." Phillip told her.
"And what did you tell them?" She asked.
"That Friday is my favorite day of the week." He answered.
"And they believed you?" She chuckled.
"Of course they did, I'm a really good liar." He informed her.
"Sure you are." she patted his shoulder before walking further ahead of him.
Phillip stopped walking watching her walk in front of him. The way her curls bounced each time she jumped over a rock, the way the sun reflected off her olive colored skin in a way that if you were to take a picture it would look like the picture was polished.
He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard her shout his name.
"Phillip!" She shouted.
He then noticed how far ahead she was and he quickly ran up to her.
