"Anne I have no idea how you manage to do this all the time without pulling a muscle." Rosette spoke as Anne was helping her learn tricks on the hoop.
"It's just like tightrope walking." Anne replied with a smile.
"Except tightrope walking is walking...on a rope. Meanwhile this is making me use muscles I never want to use again."
"Stop whining. No pain no gain." Anne reminded Rosette.
"Yeah, yeah." Rosette mumbled while playfully rolling her eyes.
Anne helped Rosette out of the hoop and the two made their way towards the bench and sat as Rosette drank her water.
"So...how are things?" Anne asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well besides the fact that my body is stre-"
"No, not that. I mean you and Phillip." Anne laughed, cutting Rosette off.
"Oh. Well things are fine, great even. We haven't rushed immediately into too many drastic things, even though we've known each other for as long as I can remember. But I'm glad that we are taking things at a normal pace, it makes everything feel more..." Rosette slowly cut off.
"More?"
"Realistic. Yeah, that works. More realistic." Rosette smiled looking at Anne.
"What is that even supposed to mean Rose." Anne chuckled.
"I don't know it's just...like we've kept everything on the down low for so long that it feels kind of weird having all this freedom. Like I've known about Phillips feelings for a while as well as he did with mine. So I feel like if we were to speed up everything, it would almost feel too cliche and weird." Rosette explained before giving Anne a wide smile.
"What about you, has anyone caught your eye at all?" Rosette asked Anne, nudging her shoulder.
"No. I am giving my full attention to the circus and only the circus." Anne raised her chin.
"I don't know Anne, eventually we will be old and you won't be able to climb into a hoop without breaking your hip." Rosette tried to convince Anne.
"Key word being "eventually" meaning I still have time until then." Anne stood up after she wrapped her coat around her flexible clothing and made her way towards the exit.
"You know, you should take every second you have for granted! You don't know when it will end!" Rosette shouted to Anne who was almost out of the circus tent.
"And I will be. Don't you worry about me Rosette Johnson, I am satisfied with how things are. See you at home." Anne shouted back before leaving.
Rosette sighed shaking her head with a breathless smile.
"Okay I finished cleaning up for the next show. Ready to leave?" Phillip came out of no where wiping his hands on his pants looking at Rosette with a confused smile.
"Yeah."
"What's got you smiling, I thought I was the only one who got that pleasure." Phillip joked as he helped Rosette get her long dark blue jacket on.
"Oh nothing. Just had a lovely conversation with Anne about her love life." Phillip raised his eyebrow which caused Rosette to let out a small breathless laugh.
"I'll explain it later Phil." Rosette wrapped her arm around his as they began exiting the circus tent and making there way to their new house that they shared with Anne and W.D.
Both of them glad that they were with each other because no matter what obstacle course that comes their way, they would always find a way back to each other; because they are each other's "home.".
I sort of liked this chapter, it was more of a filler chapter but I like that now I get to brainstorm my own ideas for the story. And you guys got to see a small development in Rosette and Anne's relationship.
And I 100% ship Phosette, or Rosilip.
I don't know I'm not good with ship names.
Anyways don't forget to vote and follow me Plzzz!
Comment what you're favorite chapter was.
