Rosette was currently practicing her act with the Wheeler's. She had spoke with P.T. earlier where he gave her information on what he wants her role to be in the play. "A ringmistress" were his words. And eventually after a couple minutes of talking, he suggested that she tries walking on a tightrope, which explains why she was currently standing almost 8 feet in the air hanging onto W.D as she balanced herself on the thin rope.
"You are balancing really good for your first time." Anne informed from where she was sitting in a hoop on the other side of the rope.
"I'm used to balancing myself on a lot of things, I was quite the monkey as a child." Rosette joked as she placed one foot in front of the other while holding onto to W.D.'s arms who was above her also in a hoop.
"Well were gonna have to hope that soon you won't need to hang on to me; the next show is in a week." W.D. spoke.
Rosette only scoffed a chuckle in reply. She tilted her head up seeing P.T. and Phillip conversing in what seemed like an important discussion.
She frowned when she saw P.T. grab his coat and make his way towards the exit giving Rosette a proud wink and smile, leaving Phillip with a paper.
"Sorry guys, he's going on tour." Phillip announced.
"Oh pull yourself together Carlyle, don't you have somewhere to be?" Lettie snapped.
Phillip looked at his watch before muttering something under his breath and grabbing his coat, making his way out the door.
"So, your preforming another song in the next show right?" Anne asked.
"Uh, yeah. From what I've been told, my performance is remarkable enough to bring joy to the most joylous critique. Or at least that's what I've heard from P.T." Rosette took another step on the rope, only holding on to W.D with one hand.
"I agree. Your last performance touched a lot of people Miss. Johnson." Lettie yelled from below, getting a small cheer in agreement from others who heard.
"Well thank you. I however believe you all definitely are the real stars of New York." Rosette smiled, taking another step on the rope.
"Whatever song your performing next time, I am excited to see it." Anne smiled at her as the other members made a noise in agreement.
"And now I know that I have numerous expectations from numerous people." Rosette joked before letting W.D go and stick her arms out beside her to help herself balance on the rope.
She took two slow steps before she quickened her pace and began walking at a normal pace with her arms still stretched out.
"There you go. Your almost there." W.D encouraged her.
Once Rosette made it to the other side of the rope, she grabbed a hold oh Anne's out stretched hands who swung her across the room and set her down in the middle of it. The acts all gave her a short applause causing her to smile a big toothy one.

"I was told Johnson left a ticket for me?" Anne spoke to the employee.
"I'm sorry, there was only supposed to be one." Anne told the employee who pulled out two tickets.
"No, there's supposed to be two." Corrected a voice that belonged to Rosette who just walked into the theatre.
Anne turned to Rosette who gave her a small smile.
"You didn't think I was gonna let you go to the movies for the first time by yourself did you?" Rosette asked with a small smile.
Anne smiled back before they both grabbed their tickets and made their way up the stairs of the theatre.
"I've always wanted to go to the theatre." Anne spoke softly.
Rose smiled at her, both of them not noticing that her parents were standing at the top of the stairs beside them.
"Rosette?" Her father questioned, noticing the two girls.
Her head snapped towards them, smiling awkwardly before introducing Anne.
"Mother, father. This is Anne Wheeler, my friend." Rosette introduced.
"Rose have you know shame, associating with that Barnum buisness is one thing, but creating a relationship with a-" Her father was cut off when Anne turned on her heel and made her way down the stairs and out of the theatre.
"Anne!" Rosette called for her before turning to her parents.
"How dare you speak to her like that. She's just as human as I am." She turned on her heal, prepared to go after her friend but her mom grabbed her arm.
"Rosette, your forgetting your place."
"My place? Mother if this is my place, then I don't want to be apart of it." She yanked her arm back and ran after Anne
"Anne!" She yelled once she made it back outside.
Rosette kept running and noticed Anne making her behind the circus. Rosette immediately made her way towards her friend.
"Rosette just go back to your folks." Anne brushed her off.
"No, why do you care what they think?" She asked her.
"Why don't you care what they think?" Anne scoffed.
"Ann-"
"It's not just them okay, it's everyone. No matter what I do, where I go, who I'm with they all judge me. They'll judge us, you, for even talking to me." Anne cut Rosette off before sitting on the stairs outside with her head in her hands.
"They're wrong Anne. The whole world is wrong. I get to make my own choices, no matter what anyone has to say about it. In there, in the circus you, me, W.D, everyone. We're all a family. We're all judged in different ways but that doesn't matter because we have each other. You are unique, you wanna know why?" Rosette placed her hand on Anne's shoulder once she lifted her head up.
"Because you are you, your different. Your not like every one else and that is why your judged, why so many people are judged. Our society follows the other, or who ever is the highest of us all. But you, all the people apart of the show, you are leaders. You make your own path, create your own rules, shine in your own way and you shouldn't be ashamed of that. Whether they know it or not, you are and always will be better than them okay? Your a great person Anne. I need you to understand that okay?"
Anne gave Rosette a small smile, which she returned, before pulling her into a hug.
"Thank you." Anne whispered.
"Anytime."
