Everyone remained staring at the door the woman left through. Her parent's had a look of shock but if you looked a little closer you will see a little pride in their eyes. James' parents had a look of horror and James wore a small smirk as he took another sip from his glass.

Glad that's finally over, James thought.

"My goodness, that child has officially gone mad." James' mother exhaled.

James chuckled at the thought. She sure isn't the only one.

"Well; as lovely as this dinner has been, I have somewhere to be. It's been a pleasure as always Mr and Mrs. Johnson." James clapped his hands before grabbing his coat and also making his way out the door.

Walking down the small sidewalk with his hands in his pockets, James began to think of Lucy.
Laughing at the small memories he and her have shared in the past.

She was too young.

He remembers as if it were yesterday, the day she was diagnosed with leukemia. He was taking her around the neighborhood when her nose started bleeding out of no where. Their parents thought nothing of it and blamed it on the dry weather. But then it continued to happen more frequently to the point where there were no more excuses to ignore it.

The day they went to the medic was one of the worst day's of the boy's life.

Lucy was strong though, she lasted up to fifteen months before she passed. Ever since then the only things he had to ease the pain was booze and woman.

Which explains why he was on his way to the nearest bar.

Walking into a bar called "Chucks Pub", James took a deep breath as he took a seat in front of one of the bartenders.

"Can I get five shots of your strongest." James spoke, pulling out his wallet.

The bartender nodded walking away.

"Rough night?" James turned to see a blonde looking at him.

"Something like that." James responded checking out the woman that stood in front of him.

"Let me guess, you ex fiance cancelled the engagement." James looked at the girl.

"How do-"

"I  recognize you as James Wilson and your fiance is Rosette Johnson. People aren't stupid; they notice you flirt with any charming girl that walks by. I am surprised it took her this long to end things." The girl sat down next to him.

"I'm Clary." The girl held her hand out for him to shake.

"Clary...." He shook her hand waiting for her to give him the rest of her name.

"Just Clary." She finished as the bartender returned with five shots.

"Well, just Clary, would you like to share a drink with me."
