CHAPTER 21

A loud boom knocked me off my feet. The DUA had breached the haul. Yeah (in Aquaman's voice)

"FREEZE"

"Lumerer, I'm Mr Tolu of the DUA and you're under arrest... On second thought, we'd just kill you here"

She burst into laughter and signalled more men in. They came in with sophisticated weapons. The fight had begun.
One of her soldiers threw a bomb and it latched onto the DUA soldiers and they exploded. Mr Tolu was swift enough to escape and take cover. More DUA agents came in and started shooting. She stepped in her armour and engaged her own guns. Ogbuefi being an impressive marksman and swordsman came with a katana and a gun. He went around slitting throats. The agents cleared out and he charged towards the lumerer who stretched out her hand and her sword came out. He got to her and she gave a full right swing. He ducked and hit her in her ribs with his shoulder. It set her aback. The agents shot but her armour was impregnable. There was a lot of shooting and the DUA was winning. I was still on the ground weakening. The agents left the lumerer for Ogbuefi and went on to fight the others.
Ogbuefi rushed at her again an slashed her leg but the armour just cut since that part wasn't made of metal. She gave a right swing which he blocked and they were now face to face.

"You know Trix... Your whole life has been a betrayal" she said and pushed Ogbuefi, who seemed weakened, to the ground. She walked towards me.
"Who the hell did you think killed your mother? Or how do I know where you always are or about your powers?"
Arrrrg Ogbuefi came up behind her, she used her left hand and hit him away.
"I was just taking it easy on you because you were my lackey. Now, it's personal" she said turning to Ogbuefi who had blood coming out his mouth and nose.
"Now, you die." She went to him and punched him across his face multiple times, lifted him up and gave him an uppercut. He flew across the area and landed close to me gasping for air.

"I'm really sorry kid, I had to do it"
I gathered some energy and moved towards him.
"Tell me it's not true"
"I'm so. Sorry. Please. Forgi..." And he gasped his last breath. Tears filled my eyes. I didn't know if I was crying for my mum or for his betrayal. I was very bitter, angry and perplexed.

"Poor wittle Kendrix, betrayed by his heart his handler and oh yeah, his best friend. Relations, such a weakness. They were so easy to manipulate. The wonder of fake stories and a little Drakodust. You would have just died at birth, instead of suffering all this pain. Brother."

"I'm not weak, or little, I forgive them all and I AM NOT YOUR BROTHER"
I felt a whole new energy flow within me and my eyes started to glow. I absorbed the bracelets and got on one knee. All the anger within me was building. She was petrified. And ordered more soldiers out of their stalls, about twenty men.
The strangest thing happened. I began to feel like something was coming out of me, a whole bunch at a time. I saw a clone of myself Pop out of me. Full metal. Then another, another and another. I was too angry to be fascinated. They went before me and engaged the twenty men, using their bare hands which transformed into blade and slit thier throats. The lumerer was shocked right now. I took advantage of the distraction and rushed at her. The twenty men were down. Clone 1 touched 2 and they merged to one and rushed at her, slitting the armour at the other leg. She stabbed it and it vaporized. I noticed that I was subconsciously controlling them. Clone 3 ran to her and was slitting all over the armour while dodging attacks. Clone 4 turned to face me and cupped his hands. I ran, got on it and jumped and got in the air, materialized two swords and stabbed the lumerer in the eyes through the slits. Her sword fell and I picked it up. She was in anguish. I materialized a blade about hers and cut off her head. Just then, Mr Tolu ran in. I fell to my knees and the two clones dematerialized. It turned from blurry to black and I passed out.

"It's morning just now" I said as I rolled out of bed. I was back at the house. Mr Tolu walked in.
"I had the strangest dream"

"Yes, you did, you really did"
