I stared across the room with my mouth wide open and my skin very pale.
"Wendy tried to heal him," Erza said and stretched her arms behind her back, "But clearly it didn't do much."
"So you're trying to tell me that Natsu has no memory of anything what so ever?" I asked weakly.
"I'm afraid that Luna somehow got to him," She said, and stared down at him making sure that he wasn't doing anything other than sitting up strait.
He looked back at her nervously, and then turned back around to face me with a pleading expression.
I looked back at Erza, "But that's impossible! She's locked up in a high security wizard prison!" I argued and clenched my fists.
"Lucy, I realize what you're going through but-" "No you don't! You don't understand what it's like to be hunted by your own twin sister for a power that you wish that you didn't even have!" For once in my life I had enough courage and anger to stand up to the Erza Scarlet.
Either she should pity me enough to follow along, or she would be irritated enough to shove me out of the nearest window.
But something had changed within the few seconds of silence, I couldn't quite see it but I felt it.
Her expression had softened and it looked like she let her guard down.
Of course it only looked like she did, knowing Erza she never let her guard down.
"Lucy...." She mumbled with a slight smile.
Yeah.
I knew it was self centered of me to say such things as if I had it the worst, when Erza had a much worse childhood, but it felt so good to let it all out after all of these years.
I didn't think I could trust anyone, but here I am now.
Talking to a Natsu that has no memory, and Erza who was now finally showing me a soft side of her.
"Lucy I've never really had grown up with siblings," She said in a weak, scratchy voice, "But I did have friends that I grew up with that were with me for almost my entire childhood, I've lost many throughout the years and even had one of my closest childhood friends try to kill me once..."
She trailed off and looked at Natsu, who sat in the corner of the room with his arms crossed.
"We all have our weaknesses and one of mine is seeing my friends hurt," She said, "So I try my best to protect them, don't you think instead of arguing with me you should try to help Natsu?"
He doesn't even remember your name.
"Erza I-"
"You we're trying to find ways to help the guild fight against your sister yes?" She asked.
Her once soft, sweet voice was now returned to the serious voice.
I nodded my head.
I didn't quite know how she knew but I didn't care.
I felt tears in my eyes thinking about all of the diary entries that I had read last night, along with having to say farewell to all of my best friends for the last time.
Jeez Lucy your such a loser I thought with a slight laugh.
"Then use that knowledge to save Natsu," She said.
"B-" I stopped myself before I could ruin anything, and just nodded my head.
I felt a tear drop escape my eyes and slowly begin to slide down the side of my cheek.
If anyone had known the cure they would protest, and maybe even lock me up if they had to.
But nothing could stop me now.
"You must transfer the curse to another soul..." I mumbled as I slowly walked out of the guild.
As I walked past all of the regular bar fights and magic happening, I took it all in before I was about to make the decision that could make or break fairytail's reputation.
Before I could push open the doors, a small figure ran past me out of the corner of my eye.
I spun around, confused for a second, and then soon realized who was gliding past me.
Stacy, along with Phoenix.
"S-Stacy?" I asked.
She and Phoenix turned around to find me.
When she laid eyes on me she smiled and waved, while Phoenix stood with her arms crossed and a small glare in her eyes.
"Hi Lucy," She said.
"What's up?" I asked and looked her up and down.
"Me and Phe are getting ready to go back to our guild soon," She said with another cheerful smile.
"Wendy said that you're fully healed?" I asked.
She nodded her head, "Well my leg still is kinda sore but other than that I'm perfectly fine!"
"Oh okay, but make sure not to run into that gang again," I said.
Phoenix took a step in front of her, "I'll make sure that she's safe," She said in a sassy voice.
I slightly nodded my head even though I was confused.
"So today's your last day here?" I asked.
"Yeah, I hear that my guild members are getting worked up over my- I mean our absence," She said.
I looked down at the ground.
"B-But we'll make sure to visit!" She said in a high pitched voice.
"Good, I'm glad," I said and smiled.
"Maybe we can go on a mission together sometime soon?" She asked, leaning in closer to me.
"Maybe, maybe I'll get to meet some of your friends at the guild," I said.
She grinned, "Ehhh well the people at our guild aren't the most welcoming people, but I guess we can make plans."
"Perfect," I said.
Phoenix gently placed her hand on Stacy's shoulder and looked down at her.
"Cmon Stacy lets get our stuff together," Phoenix said.
She turned around with Stacy, and her long, spiky orange hair flipped off of her shoulders when she did so.
When they reached the bar stools, Stacy turned around and waved, "And thanks again for saving me! I'll make sure to repay you!" She called.
"There's no need for that!" I shouted back, with a smile.
