Jungkook's POV:
"Tae - hyung, wake up! Come shopping with me today pleeeaase!" I put on my best puppy eyes.
"Uugh, why did you wake me. I was having a nice dream. What shopping do you need anyway?" He whined as he cracked open his eyes.
Though he liked shopping, it was one of our rare days off and he had just wanted to spend it sleeping. I had already bugged my other hyungs to come but they all declined. So I had turned to the fast asleep Taehyung to accompany me. I really needed to get some more clothes as I had grown a little (and the hyungs had banned me from going alone because I pretty much only buy white shirts). On top of that the stylists were bugging me to top up my various skin-care things. I continue to harass Tae until he gets out of bed and dressed.
After a few moments we are ready to go when Taehyung decides that he needs breakfast. So with a grumble I follow him downstairs and practically force feed him in an effort to leave quickly. I don't even have a particular reason to be so rushed, we have the day off and there was nowhere else that I need to be today. Half of me is just doing it to annoy V but the other half of me is just inexplicably impatient and can't sit still. Finally he takes the last bite of toast and I drag him towards the door whilst he's still chewing. Which is a great time for him to point out that he needs to brush his teeth too. Again I wait for him to finish before trying to leave, but of course he has other ideas and eventually it's a full hour and a half later before we step out the door.
Thankfully the bus ride to the shopping centre is an unusually short one, making up for at least some of the time wasted by Tae. With the vehicle grinding to a halt I get up and out of the bus. Now that we're actually here Hyung seems a bit more exited and no longer is dragging his feet. I guess the smell of new Gucci got to him. Now that I don't have to pull him everywhere we get into the first store quite fast. I decide to get the hardest thing over with first and head straight to the shoes. This morning I found out that sadly I had worn through my favourite pair of sneakers and they weren't making them any more so now I had to find something new (also timberlands are on the list of clothing that I'm not allowed to buy any more of, so they aren't an option). I've only been looking and trying on shoes for about 15 minutes when I hear an excited squeal.
"Eunmi!!! What a coincidence to see you here!" Looking up I see Tae running over and wrapping her in a hug.
"Hyung calm down you'll draw attention. Hi Eunmi!" I can feel a smile beginning at the corners of my mouth, it's good to see her again.
We've only met twice and talked a handful of times but I already see her as close friend. I guess that being near in age helps, but it still surprised me how fast I grew to care about her. Especially given that I'm not great around girls. Back in the present again I notice a very familiar glint in Tae's eye. I suspect that now with Ari here, I might not get much shopping done today after all.

I was right.
So far we've been 'shopping' for about four hours but really we've just been playing the whole time. Every store we go into seems to quickly turn into a game, usually instigated by V and backed up by Eunmi. There was the full fashion show, with each of us choosing clothing for the others. It started off fairly normal but quickly descended into madness. In the beginning we actually picked clothes that we would wear, but later it turned into a competition of who could find the most hideous or ridiculous items (my favourite was when Tae ended up in a short sequinned black dress and a rainbow fur coat). Later there was a game of tag throughout a shop that earns us some odd looks, that then turned into hide and seek. It's only now that I'm sitting down to lunch that I realise how we might have looked to the other shoppers. At least I did manage to get some shoes in the end...
"Jungkookie, can you pass the sauce?" As Eunmi reaches forwards to receive it her sleeve falls back, exposing a dark bruise around her wrist.
"Eunmi, what happened to your wrist?" Somehow in the fun I had missed it, as I ask the question her eyes downcast.
"Never mind... It's nothing." She's lying. The hesitation in her answer gives her away.
Now that we've stopped rushing about I take a moment to look her over, and find some other things that worry me. She looks as though she has lost weight, her already slightly underweight frame now has skin tight around her bones. Her eyes have dark rings and possibly another bruise on her face, it's hard to tell under her makeup. I now realise that earlier I had noticed something, but thought nothing of it. When Tae had hugged her she flinched. At the time I just thought that he surprised her, but it was more like she was afraid to be touched. I try to think what could have caused this and one person in particular comes to mind.
"Was it Mr Kwan?" I can tell that I'm right the minute that I say his name, her reaction proves it.
"So it was him then. What did he do?" Tae is watching her intensely, voicing the conclusion that I came to.
She looks down, as though she wants to say something but isn't allowed. However suddenly she opens her mouth, what follows somehow still shocks me even though I half expected it. How could the CEO do that?? I mean I knew that the company was strict, but for him to actually abuse her like that... What's more none of it was her fault. I feel my hands shaking with anger.
"I'm going to do something about him."
"No... You can't. It will only make it worse." The fear in her voice stops me.
"If he ever does anything again contact us. I speak for all of BTS." Tae speaks up again with a solemn promise.
"We will protect you and Refract."

So this chapter is kinda shitty but at least now someone else has an idea of what she's facing.
Anyway, you know how a few weeks ago I asked about putting a question after each chapter, well I have indeed decided to. I will also go back and add questions to the earlier chapters (eventually).
