Eunmi's POV:
"Hey! have you seen my left shoe?! You know, the red one that I got last month!" Ying's yell only just barely cuts above the rest of the racket."It's here!" I have to duck as the missing shoe comes flying out of mine and Mijin's room.
The dorm is in chaos. Clothing items cover every surface, bags lie across doorways and various other things are strewn about. Every now and then a missile is launched across the apartment, already I've been hit by two hats and a bottle of shampoo. Looking around I wonder how we are ever going to be ready in time to get to the airport.
We're about to head off for the final leg of the world tour, we ended up having to postpone some of the countries because of the whole court case so now we are off to finish the tour. But judging by the bomb site around me we'll miss the plane. To be fair almost every time we have to go somewhere it ends up like this. Mijin and Ying are by far the least organised people I know, and that combined with the fact that none of our stuff is ever put where it's meant to be means that packing is a mess. The only person who seems even slightly concerned by the chaos however, is Joohee.
"MIJIN FOR THE TWENTIETH TIME DON'T THROW THINGS!! ALSO PICK UP THOSE CLOTHES OH MY GOD! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE AND THE PLACE IS A TIP!!!!!!" Every minute longer that we take to pack she gets scarier. But as terrifying as she can be when she wants to, without her we'd never get anywhere on time.
Somehow just under an hour later everything is back in order and we are packed and ready to go. Well almost....
Gyuri seems to have taken it upon herself to become the fashion police representative for the group and has just told up all that we need to get changed. Something about how we have to look like models on the cat walk just to get on a plane. Tbh I should have expected this though, almost everything we go anywhere with free choice of outfits she steps in and becomes the ultimate dictator. Really though, I do appreciate her sense of style. She has saved us from many potentially bad choices in the past (think a pink and green dress with yellow heels... I looked like a traffic light). Not long after we really are definitely ready to go. So we wrestle our luggage down the stairs and into the van before climbing in after it. The trip is relatively fast, the weekday traffic flows surprisingly quickly and there are few delays. Soon we find ourselves at the airport, surrounded by screaming fans seeing us off. The sight is something that almost always manages to cheer me up, to bring a smile to my lips. To see so many people who like you and care about you is something else. There's really not much that compares. Unfortunately we aren't allowed to interact with them at all and are guided into the plane swiftly by bodyguards and other staff. On the way I manage to wave a few times at least.
Once on the plane and in the air the lights come back on as I release my seatbelt. For the first few hours I try to get some sleep, but I seems to be woken every other half hour by one of the others wanting something or playing games. After about the sixth time of being shocked awake by Tuzu seeing how many straws she can put down the back of my shirt before I notice, I give up. I look at the clock, there's still another 8 hours to go. With a sigh I flick through the movie options until I find something to settle on... which happens to be the original Spider-Man movie. They have the two sequels as well so I settle in for a binge watching session.
After what seems like an age the plane comes in to land. Again we are greeted by fans, and again we are hurried along with little time even for a smile. We are then bundled into the waiting car and driven through the thick traffic of Melbourne. All around me I can see the city that is so different from my own, the ultra modern buildings of Seoul are replaced by a mix of old and new. The architecture is incredible. Having never been to Australia before, it is certainly different to the wide open bush land and outback that everyone talks about.
Finally we arrive at our hotel. I can feel the weight in my eyelids after the long flight, I can't wait to get checked in and get to sleep. As much fun as exploring the foreign city will be, it's just going to have to wait for tomorrow. Right now I'm standing here in the hotel lobby, waiting as our managers deal with the receptionists. Thankfully, unlike Mijin, Joohee and I, they speak English. A few moments later we are split into rooms and starting unpacking. I barely even get out my pyjamas before giving up and deciding that I'll go to bed instead. I go to plug in my phone when a notification pops up:
Video call from Namjoon
As tired as I am, I open it anyway whilst rolling into bed.
"Hey, how was your flight?" A sweet smile fills the screen. Suddenly my exhaustion doesn't bother me so much.
"Hey Joon-oppa, good to see you. The flight was long, but it was fine. What are you doing?"
"Nothing really, I just felt like calling you... It's been so long since we've seen each other."
"Yeah, we seem to always just miss each other." I think back to the last time that I saw him, the concert where we performed the outro for the first time. Since then one of us was always busy when the other was free.
"So you're having a fan meet tomorrow, right?"
"At Etihad stadium, and then concerts for the rest of the week. That reminds me, your comeback is incredible. And well done at the Billboards, you guys really deserved it."
"Thanks, we worked hard on it. I was so nervous for the speech though, you'd think that I'd be used to speaking in front of so many people by now."
"Haha, I don't think that will ever happen. You did well though, your English is impressive..... I mean judging by what everyone else is saying, I personally understood all of three words!" At my words the already present smile on his face grows into a large grin.
"Mmm, if you studied you might understand more."
"Oi, just because you're a genius!"
"Haha, hey ummm, so the main reason I called. I was ahh, wondering if you'd like to catch up some time, when you get back. Like, you know, for coffee or something?"
The question surprises me, I mean sure, I liked him. A lot in fact. But I never new that he saw me as anything more than like a little sister. I reply without hesitation.
"I'd really like to."
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I'M BACK, WOOO! I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to update, exams were happening and then school was super busy, but that's done now Yay!So it turns out that finally each one realised that they like the other, and that the other likes them back. Unfortunately there will be a few more bumps in the road before this date happens.... (Because I'm horrible and have great fun messing with Eunmi's life)
Anyway, question of the week:
What is your favourite song on the Love yourself: Tear
Album? (No answering all of them, that's cheating)Mine is The Truth Untold. The meaning behind the lyrics is beautiful and well, I'm a sucker for sad songs.
So see you next week ♥️♥️
