"Thalia are you OK?"

"Just peachy." I called back hoarsely from the bathroom. All in fact was not just peachy. I was determined not to cry as I looked at the three different tests that all confirmed the same tests. I'm pregnant. After throwing up every morning for a week and some other clues, I had started to suspect something was wrong. Taking a deep breath, I leaned against the wall and tried to process everything. How had this happened? I mean I knew how it happened, but why now? And just how was I supposed to tell Steve that he, the man who was one of the most pro marriage before birth people I've ever met, was about to become a father?

"Thalia, can I come in?" Steve asked gently.

"Yes." I whispered as tears started to trickle down my face. The door slowly opened and Steve walked over and sat down next to me.

"What's wrong sweetheart?" he cooed as he brushed the tears off my face. I started sobbing and just pointed at the tests that were lying on the floor. Steve looked at them and his eyes widened in shock. "You're...?" he tried to ask. I nodded and buried my face in my hands.

"I'm sorry!" I sobbed "This is all my fault." Steve gently took my hands and kissed my forehead.

"Thalia listen to me." he said seriously "None of this is your fault. This baby doesn't change anything except that I'll have another person to love just as much as I love you."

"Thank you." I breathed as I leaned into him "I love you too. I was so scared you were going to be mad."

"Well I am a little upset." Steve said with a frown. I looked up at him fearfully.

"You are?" I choked out.

"Yeah," he said "I mean this little guy's making me ask you a little bit sooner than I was planning."

"Ask me what?" I said in confusion. Steve bit his lip and moved to get on one knee and pulled out a small box. I gasped and tears started to pool in my eyes again.

"Thalia Banner," he said with a grin "I have been in love with you ever since we first met and you threw Tony against a wall. You have been by my side through everything and I have loved every second of it. Now that we're going to have a kid, I want you by my side more than ever. So, Thalia, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

"I will." I said tearfully as I hugged him "I love you Steve."

"I love you too Thalia."
