 AN!! I apologize to my friend who I told about what I was writing in this chapter. Also I'm sorry to my readers, this has been an idea in my head for a long time and now that I'm writing it I feel terrible. Please don't hate me.

"No." I choked out, rising to my feet "You can't be here. How did you find us"

"When I made that phone call I may or may not have tracked the energy coming off of you, but enough of that. Why don't we all have a nice little chat?" she raised her hand and Steve went flying across the room with sparks coming off of his body.

"NO!" I screamed. Spark rolled her eyes and shoved me back onto the couch.

"You know," she said thoughtfully "I was going to kill the both of you. You and Steve that is. Then I had an idea. What would be better than killing little Thalia? Still killing Thalia and leaving her boyfriend alive. That way she can know that she's leaving behind the love of her life. Doesn't that sound like fun?"

"You don't have to do this." I croaked "You can still walk away." She chuckled and came over to sit down next to me.

"No I can't." she said giggling "Do you know how many SHIELD agents I had to kill to get here? More than the legal amount I can tell you that."

"Spark please!" I begged "I'm pregnant!" A flicker of surprise fluttered across her eyes before being replaced by her usual cold stare.

"What was it you told me?" she asked as she stood up "Oh right! Bitches don't get happy endings. Well Thalia, I guess we know who the real bitch is." She flicked her hand and arcs of electricity raced across my body as I screamed in pain. I tried to use my powers but it had been so long since I had tried that I couldn't. I sunk to the floor and lay there.

"Thalia NO!" I heard Steve scream.

"Say goodbye to your happily ever after." Spark whispered as she bent down next to me. The there was a blinding burst of white light and then it slowly faded away. I heard a thud and when my vision cleared I saw Spark lying dead on the floor with a bullet hole in her head. I breathed a sigh of relief and my breath hitched when I felt pain rack my body. I think that's when I knew I wasn't going to walk away from this one. What Spark had done to me was too severe. There was the sound of footsteps and I could barely make out Steve kneeling on the ground and gathering me in his arms.

"No, come on Thalia, please stay with me!" he pleaded "You have to come back to me." He had tears running down his face and I gently reached up to brush them away.

"It'll be OK." I said softly "You're going to be fine."

"Not without you I won't be!" he cried "I can't live a life that you're not in Thalia, I need you by my side! I love you."

"I love you too Steve." I said, my breath rattling in my chest "And I know you can keep living. My only regret is that our child won't be able to see you do it. But you have to promise me something. I need you to promise me that you'll keep living. I don't want you not living the life I know you can, promise me you'll live Steve, please."

"I promise." he sobbed. I smiled serenely at him before everything went dark.

Steve's POV

"Thalia? Thalia please answer me!" I was screaming at this point, but I didn't care. She couldn't be gone, not like this.

"Steve, she's de-"

"Don't say it!" I yelled as Bucky tried to pull me away from her body "She's not dead! I have to save her!"

"Steve stop!" I curled up into a ball and just started sobbing. Bucky was sitting beside me and rocking me back and forth gently as they took her body and Spark's away.

"She's gone." I whispered.

"It's OK Steve, I'm right here."

1 day later

"Are you OK Steve?" I just stared at the wall in silence. "Steve, Thalia was like my sister to me, this is hard on me too."

"You have no idea what it's like." I growled "You don't know what it's like to lose the one thing that makes everyday seem better. You don't know what it means to lose the one person you have loved!" Bucky was silent and just stared at me sadly.

"No, I don't know, but I do know that Thalia would not want you to be like this. She would want you to dust yourself off and get back in the world."

"How can I when my world is gone?"

"STEVE! BUCKY!" Ben came sliding into my room where Bucky and I were. "I think," Ben gasped "I think I can bring Thalia back."
