"This isn't her. Whatever she said Steve, she didn't mean it." I heard Clint but it was still hard to accept what he was staying. I knew that none of this was Thalia's fault, but I couldn't let go of what she had said as she turned. I should have knocked her out but I had let her get the upper hand and now Spark was free and Loki was with her. Who knows what they were planning!
"Heads up!" Natasha called waving a tablet in the air. We all crowded around her and I was in shock at what I saw. Spark was in control over Loki. She literally had him binded with electric ropes.
"Why didn't anyone stop her?" Tony asked furiously.
"Just wait." Natasha said sadly. We watched as Agent Coulson ran in and pointed a gun at Spark. He was begging Thalia to come back. I stared in shock as Spark wavered. Her eyes faded back to her original blue and I sighed in relief that was short lived. In the blink of an eye, Spark took back control and she shot a blast of pure electricity at Coulson.
"No!" I yelled. Coulson flew into the wall and slumped to the floor, clearly dead.
"That was ten minutes ago." Natasha said. "She's heading to New York to complete Loki's plan."
"We have to stop her," Bruce said frantically "When she goes back to Thalia, she remembers everything that Spark did. It's like she's imprisoned in her own brain." Everyone scrambled to grab their gear and find a quin jet. I was praying that we could still save her and that it wasn't too late.
Spark's POV
They were too late. From my perch atop Stark's tower, I smiled as the alien armies came pouring in from the portal. I skipped back to Loki who was watching me apprehensively.
"Ready for world domination?" I asked brightly. He grinned in spite of himself and nodded eagerly. Then, a look of confusion overtook his face and I sighed, sensing an annoying question coming my way.
"Why did you kill that man?" I shrugged and said
"He was important to Thalia and I want to make her miserable. After all those years she kept me imprisoned inside, I'm going to rip away everything she loves."
"Why don't you just kill Thalia?"
"I am Thalia you dimwit! She got too upset so I took control and now she can only watch as her world crumbles around her." Loki looked really confused and I facepalmed. Next time I tried to take over the world, I needed smarter henchmen. "Thalia Banner is the girl whose body you see," I explained impatiently "if she gets too upset, I take control of her body. It's like her brother but more attractive." Loki smirked as he finally got it. I walked back over to the edge of the tower and surveyed the destruction in progress of the city. My joy was short lived as I saw a red and gold blur soaring to us. "Stark." I growled, jerking my head toward the tower and Loki followed me inside. We waited as Tony walked in and stared at the two of us. "Was it really wise for you to come face me?" I asked "Electricity won't do you much good Stark."
"I'm just here for a drink," Tony retorted "you want one?"
"Not yet," I said calmly "maybe after I take over the world."
"After we take over the world." Loki corrected me.
"One of those is incorrect and it sure as Hell ain't mine." I said sassily "I let you live, and you get to watch as I rule the world." Loki fumed silently and Tony watched us in amusement.
