[NATSU'S P.O.V]

"Natsu! I'm beat!" Lucy whined. She leaned on my shoulder, but it wasn't helping my worn out legs.

"Yeah, well, it was your decision to go to the freak-show town!" I retorted. Lucy growled and pushed me playfully.

"How was I supposed to know the town was full of clowns?" She chuckled tiredly. I rolled my eyes as we entered the guild. We were welcomed back everyone. I noticed that Gray hasn't been in the guild lately. Gramps suddenly stood with a paper in his hands.

"Everyone! I have a sad announcement." Everyone seemed to quiet down, even Lucy. "As you know, we haven't seen much of Gray lately. Because he has decided... To leave Fairy Tail." There were a lot of gasps, and more sighs.

Lucy tapped me on the shoulder. "Who's 'Gray'?"

I shrugged, and looked back at Master. He looked distressed, almost mortified by it. But I don't care about him. Why should I?

After the whole speech, me, Lucy and Happy went on another job. This time, we were going on an adventure to the deserts. There's a sinking hole, and it's pretty weird.

[LUCY'S P.O.V]

It's too hot to function. I need something to cool me down! Natsu can't help. He makes things hot. I'd much rather be munching on ice than sand right now. Don't even know why I agreed to go on this job. Ice... Ice? Why does that ring a bell?

"Natsu, where is this sinkhole?" I asked, he was just walking along without a care.

"Just a few miles north." Natsu said, with Happy flying along with him. I groaned at the thought spending more time in this hell. I imagined the mountain me and Natsu went to that was covered with snow on our first job together. I remember the coldness of it clearly.

Something about coldness... Ice... Snow... Ice just confused me. It made me feel nostalgic. Like something inside of me is missing. Did it have anything to do with that guy? Gray was his name? When I met him back then, his presence made me... Feel reassured?

"Who was that guy, Natsu?" I blurted out.

"Hm? Which one?"

"The one Master was talking about. Who was he?" I asked.

"Uhm... He's nobody. Just some member of the guild." I frowned at him. How could you call your fellow guild member a nobody?

"Eh? That isn't nice, Natsu." I said, walking up next to him. He had a nervous, tense face on. As if he was hiding something. "What are you hiding Natsu?"

"Nothing, nothing." He murmured.

"Come on, Natsu! You're hiding something and I intend to know!" I growled. Why is he hiding something? And what is it?

"I'm... I'm not..."

I sighed and grabbed his shoulder, forcing him to face me. I had to make him tell me.

"Who WAS the guy?"

"H-He was... He was a friend of mine... And I guess... He left for some reason..." He stuttered.

We continued to walk, we finally got to the sinkhole, and fought our way out. The whole trip back I couldn't stop thinking about 'Gray'. I tried to remember his face.

Click.

Dark eyes. His dark eyes. I somehow remember them. But how?

"Something wrong?" Natsu said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"W-What no! No. Not at all."

"Right. We're nearly there."

I nodded and became lost in thoughts. All I could think about was that guy. How did I know about his eyes? I've never even looked him in the eye.

We entered the guild and greeted by everyone.

"Lucy!" Levy called out, waddling over to greet me with a tight embrace.I patted her head, and took a seat.

"I'm boiling hot! That job was tiring." I complained. Mirajane came up to me with an unusual grin, handing me a glass of water with 3 ice blocks in it. I thanked her, resting my head on my palm as I looked down at the ice cubes, and swirled the blocks with my finger. The iciness of it tingled my finger tips.

Click.

Ice... What was it about ice that gave me a weird feeling? Something about it made me feel warm. I looked up at the request board, instantly saw the word 'make'. Ice... Make...? Ice Make. I've heard that somewhere.

I stood up, startling Natsu.

"Luce?" He asked, looking up at me. "What's wrong?"

"N-No it's nothing.. I... Have to go home." I grabbed my bag, running out the guild doors and into the front yard. I didn't stop until I got outside my house. I leaned on my knees, trying to catch my breath. What did 'Ice Make' have to do with that guy? I suppose it's his magic -- I've read about it with Levy.

I entered my house, and fell onto the bed. My eyes made contact with a tossled shirt hanging on my desk chair. I walked up to it, and picked it up. The cotton fabric was soft to touch. It was a dark blue button-up shirt. The scent of it was familiar... It had a cool scent to it -- like ocean waves.

I looked over at the collar, it had the name: Gray Fullbuster.

Click.

I remember it. I remember his scent. The ocean smell of it. It tingled in my nose. SOmething about it filled me with this overwhelming emotion. Emptiness and the longing for something. Someone.

"Luce? Luce you in there?" I heard a voice say from outside my door. It was Natsu. I hid the shirt in my wardrobe. Should I ask Natsu about this?

"Y-Yeah, come on in, it's open." Normally, I would of pushed him out. But I needed to ask him something. He walked in, and instantly caught my eye.

"Luce, you ran out the guild. Why? Is something wrong?" He asked, whilst I sat on my bed, looking down at my hand.

"Who is Gray?" I blurted out.

"H-Huh? I told you didn't I?" Natsu came and sat next to me.

"Yeah but... I feel like... When he tried to attack you a few days before, I felt... Weird because I felt like I've met him before." Natsu's expression was guilty, yet he tried to hide it.

"I-I don't..." He trailed off.

"Who is Gray Fullbuster?!" I spoke up, I think it took Natsu by surprise when I said his last name. "I keep on remembering things! I remember his Ice Make magic, his eyes, his scent! Who is he? What aren't you telling me, Natsu?!" I screamed.

He just sat there. His eyes filled with regret. His eyes filled with fear. My head pounded. I gripped my head.

What is this pain? It hurts. It hurts so much. Why is this happening? My heart began to ache. My eyes stung with tears. I tried to call out, but I couldn't hear anything. This sinking feeling is devouring me. Please. Stop.

What is happening?
