Puppies

Brian and Ellie's alarm clock buzzed early one morning. Ellie woke up and shut it off. She rolled over to her canine husband Brian, who was sleeping beside her. " Brian. Wake up, babe. " she said, pushing Brian until he was awake. " Oh, man. " Brian said groggily, rubbing his eyes.  " Mornings are such a pain in the ass. " It had been a full week since Brian and Ellie had gotten married, and they were still getting used to their mornings together. They had decided to stay in the suite, which was next to the bustling cities and peaceful oceans.

Downstairs at the table, Ellie and Brian ate their breakfast. " Listen Brian, we're running out of food, and at this point, I think one of us has to get a job. " Ellie said. " Relax, baby, it's gonna be alright. I'll just call Peter and see if he can lend us some money. " Brian said. He walked into the other room and picked up the phone. Stewie answered. " Hey, Brian. You out of money already? " Brian rolled his eyes. " Stewie, its been, like, a week since I left. Anyway, can you see if Peter and Lois can lend me and Ellie some money? We're kind of broke here and I don't want her to worry. " Stewie paused for a minute, then gave a long sigh. " FINE! But you better pay me back- remember last time? ". 

Later that afternoon, Brian went to collect the money. When he returned , Ellie came up to him, looking like she had something to hide. " Hey, I've got the money... what's wrong? " he asked. Ellie just smiled. " I've got a little suprise for you. " She sat Brian down in the living room. " So, remember the day we had sex, and I told you I might have puppies one day? " Brian nodded. " Well, after we did all that breeding, I went to the doctor, and it turns out... well... I'm pregnant! "

Brian could barely speak, and all he could manage was a " Wha-" before passing out. Luckily, he came to moments later. " Your PREGNANT?! " he cried. " How long have you been pregnant? How many puppies are coming? " Brian was practically sweating. " I don't know. " Ellie said calmly. " But isn't this exciting? Now we're gonna be parents! "

" Ellie, I already have ONE son, and I don't even see him anymore. I don't need another one in my life! " Brian yelled. " Actually, it's two boy's and two girls. " Ellie corrected. " I just remebered, the doctor told me that. " Brian fainted again.

That night, Brian drove up to Quahog to hang out with Peter and the guys at the Drunken Clam. He had already called the family and told them Ellie was expecting, and now, thanks to Peter's big mouth, all the guys at the Clam knew. " Hey Brian, congratulations and all, but how the hell are you gonna survive with 4 kids crawling around your house? " Cleveland asked. " Eh, to be honest, Cleveland, I feel like your average husband- I really didn't want this, but Ellie wants it, so that's what we're doing. " Brian said. " Anyway, I've gotta get going. Ellie wants me to stick close to home now that she's pregnant. "

" Wait, what? You just got here! Are you gonna come back some night? " Peter asked. Brian just shrugged " I don't know. " When Brian went home, Ellie was lying on her back on the couch watching TV. Brian laid down with her. " Hey. How's it going? " he asked her. " Eh, I could be better. My stomach hurts. " she replied. Brian sighed. " Listen, Ellie, I love you, and I hate to see you in this kind of pain. So, maybe you should...I don't know, have an abortion. " 

" What? An abortion? Brian, that's ridiculous! I don't care how much it hurts- I'm pregnant with our children, and that's the way I like it! " Ellie said. Brian smiled. "Well, if that's what you want, I guess I can't stop you. Good night, sweetheart. You want to sleep down here tonight? " Ellie sighed. " Yeah, I don't really have the energy to go upstairs. " Brian kissed Ellie and wrapped himself up in the blanket, and the two slowly drifted off to sleep.

The next night, Brian called Peter and said he was staying home for the night. " Ellie's pregnancy is getting more stressful for her every day, and I want to be there for her. " he said. Peter understood. " Yeah, okay. That's how I would feel if I had a wife that was pregnant. But hey, I guess we'll see about that tonight. " and he and Brian burst into laughter.

Brian and Ellie slept in the bedroom that night. Brian brought out some wine, which Ellie had been told not drink while pregnant by her doctor.  " I don't want you drinking like that when the puppies come. " Ellie suddenly yelled. " Don't worry, honey, it's not half as bad as booze. " Brian told her. " I know, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just starting to go through some mood swings. " Ellie said. " That's alright. I'm sure once you give birth you'll be better again. " Brian said. 

40 weeks later

The Griffin family was eating their lunch when the phone rang. Lois answered it. " Hello... oh hi, Brian. How's it going...WHAT?! Okay, okay, hang on, we'll be there. Keep us updated. " She hung up. " Mom, what's going on? " Meg asked. " I'm afraid it's time, you guys. " Lois cried. " Ellie's gone into labor! "

At the vets office, Ellie was lying down on a bed. Brian was standing next to her and holding her hand. " It's gonna be alright, Ellie. " He said. " Its gonna be alright... " his voice trailed off as the rest of the family burst into the delivery room. " Hey Brian! " Stewie greeted his friend, licking a lollipop. " You know you can get free lollipops if your best friends wife is in labour? " Brian rolled his eyes. " Stewie, this is no time for jokes, " and then mouthed " Really? " Ellie began to groan. " Oh god! Brian honey, I think the puppies are coming! " 

" Hang on, Ellie! Just keep breathing. " Brian assured her. After a few minutes, everyone (except Peter, of course) watched as Ellie gave birth to four beautiful puppies. Then she fell back on the bed, panting. " That was like masturbating and sex rolled into one. " Brian picked up one of the puppies and cradled it in his arms. " Is it over yet? " Peter asked, his hands cupped over his eyes.

A few days later, Brian and Ellie left the hospital with their new litter. " I guess the hard parts over now, huh Brian? " Ellie said. " Yeah, sure. " Brian answered. But he knew the hard part had just begun.
