Hi everyone, this is my first book and I am very excited to get started on this. Please like and comment if you enjoy it:)

Life is just beginning to amaze me, I can't believe that something like this possible. I am on my way for the rugby tryouts for the nationals. Oh my god! Me, Hazel Prior is going to tryout for the nationals. Ever since I was fifteen I always wanted to be a part of the team, but that's not the only reason I wanted to try out. You see I belong to a very rich, and very....popular family. My dad runs a very big company, and my mother is a huge help. I have one older brother who isn't really the type to be a hard worker, but I still love him. Now his twin sister as in my older sister is a real pain in the butt. Don't get me wrong, she is one of the most diligent and smart women I have ever met. In fact she is just like my mother, who has the exact same personality except that my sister inherited from my father as well, so she is a complete disaster. Besides being intelligent and studious, she is arrogant (like my father) and has major trust issues (like my mother). My sister, Caroline never thought I was capable enough to do anything. My real motive was to prove to my sister, and maybe even myself that I am not worthless.

"Hazel. Hazel!" said my sister.

"Huh. Sorry what were you saying?" I say as I snap out of my day dream.

"I said, we're almost here. And...I wanted to wish you good luck" said my sister .

"Whoa, that's a first" I say with a laugh.

"But this doesn't mean that I am very happy about your decision of disregarding the fact that you should be a support to our family business. Your brother has already let us down, and I honestly expected more from you" my sister said with a sigh.

I hated when she did that. Just because Jacob wasn't really into the idea of business, doesn't mean that he let us down. As I turned my head I saw the field for the rugby tryouts, thank god otherwise my sister Caroline would have gotten a piece of my mind.

"Over there" I said pointing my hand to my right towards the field.

As she stopped the car, and I popped my seat belt buckle open she grabbed my hand.

"Be careful out there Haze, I love you. And good luck, I-I hope you make it." Caroline said with a forced smile.

"Thanks, and you know I'm always careful" I said with a mocking smirk.

"Yeah, just like the time you almost fell out the car near-"

"Oh shut up!" I said laughing as I cut her off.

I ran quickly across the parking lot into the field. The fake, wet grass was glistening in the sun as I walked across the field. I stopped near the bench where my coach was waiting impatiently for me.

"Prior! Where were you. You're five minutes and thirty-six seconds late, this is absolutely unacceptable" said coach.

"Okay, okay. Calm. Down" I said laughing as I started to warm up.

As I was running laps something felt wrong. It was as if someone was watching me, maybe it was just paranoia. But the feeling is so strong, and usually when this happens I'm almost always right. Almost. Over the years as a person who is in love with the Perry Mason Detective stories, I have learned to go with my gut-feelings. Honestly it's as if the books have changed the way I look at the world, I don't always doubt or feel paranoid about the environment around me but sometimes I am right about things. When I was in high school, during tenth grade a girl attempted to commit suicide. I don't know why but there was always something...off about her. Turns out I was right, in the next few weeks she had tried to commit suicide three times. Anyways, after that incident I always thought to go along with my senses, because they mostly turned out to be right.

"Prior!" I heard my coach yell.

I took one look around the surroundings near me, nothing seemed wrong.

"Yeah, I'm coming!" I yelled back.

The tryouts started in the next five minutes. I was all into the game, because this was my one time chance to prove that I was worthy enough for the team.

After about what seemed for ever, the tryouts were over. In total I had scored five points for my team, and the judges looked quite impressed. I was happy. I think that I might actually make it to the nationals.

Coach came up to me and said "Good job Hazel. You did great out there".

"Thanks coach, and to be honest I think I did good too" I said with a smile.

He started to pick up the equipment to pack up for the day. He was clearly struggling because of his back pain.

I grabbed his arm forcing him to drop the bag, and said "Admit it Coach, you're getting old".

He smirked and said "You know what kid, maybe I am".

I grabbed the bag for him and said "You go take care of the other girls. Make sure they have a ride home, I'm going to go put this in your truck. Oh and by the way, you're giving me a ride".

He smiled at me with tired eyes, and I picked up the bag and left for the parking lot. As I was walking the strange feeling came back, and this time it was more intense. I frantically looked around both ways, and I saw nothing besides a man standing with his back leaned against a big tree and his arms crossed around his chest. He had a hood on so I couldn't really see his face, and it was hard to make out anything about him. He was strange, but I decided that it was better not to let my paranoia take over me. I continued walking down towards Coach's red pick-up truck. I lifted the bag and turned around so that the bag landed directly in the trunk. When I turned around the man wasn't at the tree anymore but was rather leaning against the street lamp across from the truck. Was he following me? Panic took over my emotions, and I started to walk faster. I didn't realize how dark it was until now. I turned a right and was relieved to see my coach. I started to walk faster, when I felt somebody's hands around my waist push me backwards. There was a sharp pain in my neck, and everything was beginning to blacken around me.

"Help!" I tried to scream, but someone put their hand over my mouth and stabbed whatever he jammed into my neck further.

I suddenly felt really weak, and wasn't able to keep myself up. The arm around my waist went further down to my knees, and the free arm went around my back. I realized that he was carrying me. He! My vision was starting to blur, and I couldn't make out his face.

"Shh. God you yell too much. Pleasure to meet you Miss Prior, don't worry I will make sure that you don't go through too much pain" he said as he smirked.

"Who are yo-" I tried to say.

That was when everything went black, and I could feel my face dig into the shoulder of the man.

What do you guys think? I am very excited on to pursuing my ideas and creativity about these two characters further on in to this book. I hope that I gave a small insight on to the character Hazel, I will put definitely put more input on her kidnapper in the next chapter. Of course that is if I receive the support from you guys, so please if you enjoy this book. LIKE AND COMMENT
