My head felt like it was spinning even though it was dark. It was torturous and painful. I could feel someone's strong arms around me, carrying me. I tried to open my eyes but it wasn't of any use, I tried to speak but all I was able to manage was a groan. My eyes were closed but I still felt as if I were awake just not able to see anything.
"Rob! Th-there's something wrong with her" said a familiar voice.
The voice seemed to go further and further away even though it was right near me. It's amazing how things can work sometimes isn't it? It seemed worried for some reason, that was funny.
I felt myself lie down on something soft, but my head was cradled in somebody's hands. I felt somebody wipe my arm with something cold, and then there was a strong pain. It hurt a lot but only for a moment. At that time I could feel my mind relaxing, and the uneasy feeling that remained there was gone. It felt like the darkness was going away, even though it was still there. It felt like I could shut myself out for a while and not worry about a thing. So that's what I did.
I was running down the street, I don't know why but I was. It was all foggy around me and the houses around me were run down. It felt all so familiar, it was like I have been here before. I stopped dead in my tracks to see a man dead in front of me, and right beside him was a woman. I looked closer and my breathing stopped mid way. I knelled down and reached out for the man's face.
"Dad" I whispered.
After looking at the woman beside him I was in tears.
"Oh my god Mom. Dad" I sobbed.
As I reached out for them I was pulled away suddenly. I tried to fight back, I kicked, and pushed but it was no use. The arms that were around my feet were too strong. I stopped fighting in despair, and I fell limp in the arms of the stranger. He had a hold of me by the waist and I could feel his breathing near my cheek.
"Long time no see beautiful" said a raspy voice.
I turned around and screamed. His eyes were like a black hole that were swallowing me up. Swallowing me up in memories of them. My parents. The buildings around me began to shatter.
"Noo!" I screamed.
The man just laughed. His laugh grew louder by the minute, and I had to bend down to avoid getting hurt. There was a huge storm around me and it was getting worst by the minute. I dared to look up, only to see the man with a dagger dripping with blood. He was walking towards me with a huge grin across his face. A murderous grin. I tried to squirm away but realized that I was tied up to a chair. Oh no! He was getting closer to me and the knife was still in his hands. His face had a huge scar across his face, and it made him look even more dangerous. I screamed and tried to get rid of the ropes, but it was of no use. I was scared and the worst part was there was no one there. The man was suddenly in front of me and before I could scream again he covered my mouth, and raised the knife to stab me. I whimpered, and pleaded him for him to let me go. But he didn't listen, instead he stabbed me. I screamed in pain. Oh the pain it was too much. Please make it stop. The man backed away and he left me alone screaming. He left me alone in the building that was slowly breaking apart. I looked up to see a large chunk of rock about to fall on me. No. Noo!
"Aghhhhhh!" I screamed.
"No, no let me go please!" I yelled as someone clasped my hands.
"Hey! Hazel it's ok. It's ok" said Stephen calming me down.
I buried my face into his shoulder as he cradled me. I sobbed and sobbed like an idiot, I don't know why but it felt better. After a while the tears stopped streaming down and I was calm as bird, but I still held on to Stephen.
