Nick took me into a large room. It was surprising because the rest of the house looked very small, and this room was huge. Stephen was standing near the huge French window with a cigar in his mouth.
I walked up to him with the cigar bowl and put up in front of him.
"These things kill people" I said.
"Is that concern Ms. Prior" Stephen asked with a chuckle.
"Well, yes it is. My-...somebody close to me passed away because he was an addict, I wouldn't want anyone else dying because of these things" I said.
To my surprise he actually put the cigar down, and continued staring out the window.
"So, why'd you call me here?" I asked getting frustrated at the continuous silence.
More silence. God he was irritating.
"I'm going to go now" I said exasperated.
"I di-"
"Right you didn't tell me to leave so I won't leave. God just chill" I said in a sarcastic voice.
Was that a smile, OH MY GOD Mr. Adela actually smiles.
I chuckled and said "I guess you aren't an alien after all".
"Hmm?" he said.
"You do normal human things, and have normal human emotions. You actually smiled" I said.
He chuckled a bit, but his good mood disappeared quickly. "Ms. Prior-".
"Call me Hazel, it's the least you can do after kidnapping me" I said with a slight hint of sarcasm.
"Call you by your first name?" he asked.
"No you moron. The least you can do is not be so formal and stop acting like a James Bond villain, that's all so perfect. If you haven't noticed already it's really annoying" I said smiling.
He smiled this time. "There you go, see you can do it. Just a little bit more and you'll actually here yourself laughing" I said.
"Come on Stephen you can try it. It's something like ha-ha-ha"
He burst out laughing at that. I gasped and made a shocked face and patted him on the shoulder saying "Good boy".
We laughed together for what seemed like forever, and eventually stopped to look at each other. His gaze lowered down to my lips and he suddenly turned serious. He hesitantly walked towards me with small steps.
Oh my god was this actually happening.
He stopped right in front of me, and slowly put his arms around my waist. I took a short breath in by the electric feeling that his touch gave me. His blue eyes were devastating, so beautiful. His face was so beautiful. Automatically my hand went up to touch the side of his face.
He stared into my eyes, and I felt that I could drown into his. All of a sudden he crashed his lips onto mine. I could feel his hot lips move against mine and ask for permission to do....more. To my surprise I kissed him back, and allowed him to break any boundaries.
His arm went under my dress, and the other to the zip of the dress on my back. My hands went through his brown hair and around his neck. He picked me up without breaking the kiss and laid me on the sofa. My dress was off of my shoulders now and was barely on my waist.
My hands went to his shirt and I slowly unbuttoned it as he continued to kiss my neck. By the time he put all his weight on me I was done with his shirt.
Wait this isn't right. Hazel no! Wake up, you barely know the man.
As his hands went for the strap of my bra, I did the most difficult thing in the world.
"Stop" I breathed into his ear.
Stephen slowly removed his hands from behind my back, and pushed himself further away. I could see the confusion in his eyes, and the embarrassment.
"I can't-I'm sorry. It's just- I'm sorry" I said exasperated.
"Just go" Stephen said with a harsh tone.
He pulled himself up and started to button his shirt up again. I tried to figure him out, but there was no surprise. He was angry. I slowly got up and put my dress up right, but I wasn't able to get the zipper to move.
"Aghh. Come. On. Darn zip" I said.
Just then I felt somebody's warm hands on my back. They grabbed the zipper and pulled it up. I turned around to see Stephen's face. He had a stern look that looked hurt, I felt really bad for doing that to him. But it was the right thing to do, wasn't it?
Great Hazel. You just ruined a perfectly good moment and now you're doubting your choice.
"Stephen I-"
"I said to leave. Miss. Prior" he said in anger.
I should've been able to talk back at his comment, but somehow I didn't have the guts to do so. I knew it was my fault, but maybe it wasn't. I don't know.
I turned around and headed for the door but before leaving I said "I'm sorry Stephen".
Ok I know this was a really short chapter, but I thought that I should stop it right there to keep the feel. So how do you think Hazel and Stephen are turning out? Please Comment and like to tell.
Also I can't tell you guys how happy I am to have reached more than 44 reads now on just the second day. The numbers keep adding up!!
I also got a concern that people weren't able to see my title page, is that the same with all of you? If so just tell me, and I will get to work to fix any issues.
Thanks
