Film:Fast forward scenes of Mae doing things around the house. Some normal shots of her making accidents that you'd expect to end badly, but doesn't.
Mae goes to the school grounds, looking around, waiting for something to happen before she returns home.
She holds the photograph of her mother.
Hours later she has dinner with her father that came home, it's silent.
She considers other things that death had planed for her.Mae sighs as her father leaves, watching him drive off.
Now she's on her own.Apart of her is impatient, just wanting death to happen, the other part, doesn't want to die at all.
She feels frustrated wanting to cry again like it's a sign of anger at society. She just wants to live a normal life. Not a limited one.
Her day consisted of watching TV, cooking lunch where she drops the knife onto the floor, just missing her foot. She decided to go for a walk. Maybe then something will happen?
Mae walks out the house, following along the footpath out the front of her house. She walks to a primary school that she had attended.
Mae stares at the school, thinking back to when she was only young, not worried about the date she had to die. Because in her mind, that was millions of years away.
Then the years crept up on her, and she faced the facts. She looks around.
Clear sky, no lighting to strike her.
No cars to run her over.
No people to kidnap or murder her.She frowns, feeling a bit disappointed that death is making her wait.
She walks back home, being aware of everything around her.
Yet she gets home safely and find the house quiet just like it was before. She takes the framed photograph of her mother that stands on her bedside table.
"I miss you, I'll see you soon." She whispers then putting the photo back in its place.Once her father comes home a few hours later, he finds Mae laying fast asleep in her bed.
But really, she wasn't fast asleep at all.
After her father left her room, she sat up, staring at the ink on her arm.She thought maybe after dinner something will happen. But she wasn't hungry.
She stayed in her room. She wondered why her father hadn't come in yet to check on her yet.A few hours later, after she said goodnight to her father, she laid awake in bed.
Maybe I'll die in my sleep?
Maybe something might happen while I sleep?
What if I lay awake and nothing happens?
She had one last thought before drifting off to sleep.
What if I expire?
