I forcibly opened my front door, running inside and slamming the door behind me, putting my back to it and calming my heart rate down. I leaned my head to the door and closed my eyes. What the fuck just happen?  Werewolves are real? What other monsters are real too?  I moved away from the door and walked to the couch, slowly pacing across the room, running my fingers through my hair and grabbing my hairs by their roots. Was language was that? What did Aries say? Why did he want me? Did he even want me?

I then heard a whirling sound coming from by the TV as I quickly looked in that direction, seeing the same mist from the shop become bigger and disappeared as a tired Austin appeared,  his breathing heavy, blood on his torn shirt.

"What the hell just happened?" I asked

"There's no time," he said "We have to leave,"

"What?" I asked

He leaned over, placing his hands on his knees, then looked back up at me, "We need to leave town now,"

We stood there in minutes of silence as he stood all the way up. A hundred questions filled my mind but I'm not the type to ask questions at the wrong time. I just nodded, my eyes not leaving his.

"Get the stuff you need, we're leaving in five," he said

I didn't even respond to him, just turned around and walked upstairs. I walked to my closet, seeing the first backpack and picked it up, grabbing the stuff from inside and throwing it out onto the floor. I then went to my dresser and grabbed some clothes, more of one thing and less of the other. I put the backpack on my bed and threw more stuff that I might find useful in and zipped it up, sighing as I realized this situation of me leaving will be either kidnapping or a runaway.

"Could it be both?"

I turned around and saw Austin leaning in the doorway, his arms folded as his mood had changed from what it was before, he was a little more calmer. He gave me a small smile as I stared at him.

"How did you-"

"I can read minds," he said

"Can every vampire read minds?" I asked

He shook his head, "We all have our own special abilities,"

"What other abilities do you have?" I asked

His smile grew weaker as he looked down, then walking into the room, putting his hands into his pockets and looked out the window before looking at me. Austin wasn't the kind of guy to talk about who he is and others like him, I've learned that from him within these past few days. I looked down and fidgeted with my fingers before looking up at him, seeing Austin's arms around his back like he always has, his black jacket and shirt still covered in blood.

"Let me replace your shirt," I said

He looked down at himself and then at me, tilting his head.

I reached out, "It would be weird if people saw you in blood."

He looked back down and nodded, taking off his jacket. I quickly looked away and walked out of the room, going to the door across from mine and opening the door, revealing the brown covered bed, walking to the first dresser on the right and started opening the drawers, trying to find a shirt. Once I found the drawer, I picked up the first one, a black shirt, folded neatly. I gently closed the drawer and walked back to my room, keeping my eyes down as I stood next to Austin, seeing the torn blood-covered shirt on the floor. I held out the shirt for him, keeping my eyes on my bedroom floor.

"I don't mind, you know," he said, grabbing the shirt and putting it on,

"Well, I do," I said as I walked back to my bed, hearing Austin give a small chuckle.
