I opened my eyes to the sunlight reflecting off the purple wall and me, the red lamps on the lowes light setting they have. My hand was in a ball against my mouth, and on Austin's chest, with my head leaning against him. I looked up to see him staring at the ceiling, his right arm behind his head like a pillow and his left arm was around me, his thumb creating small circles in my lower side and back. I didn't move a muscle, I didn't want to move away from him. I don't remember falling asleep, and after my vision last night, I thought I wouldn't fall asleep at least for another week, but Austin knew that I needed sleep and to be safe while sleeping, at least that's what I'm telling myself right now to block everything else out. I caught myself staring off at Austin, his calm face that showed he was in a mix of thinking and annoyance. His breathing was in perfect sync with mine, causing me to wonder if his body just did it out of habit or if he was trying so hard to be breathing with me, his face could show evidence to both opinions. I lifted my head up and saw him look at me, his body getting tense as I leaned more on him.

"I'm sorry," I said

"Why?" he asked

I didn't know what I apologized, I just felt like I had to. "For keeping you here."

His smile appeared as he ran his fingers through my hair, "Don't be, I decided to stay with you."

"Why?" I asked, "Isn't it boring laying in bed and can't sleep."

"It is, but you sleep...different."

My eyes were looking at his, "Excuse me?"

"I've slept in the same bed with humans, and they just flop down and sleep, shutting their mind off for the night. But you...It was like your brain still turned."

"I have no idea what you're saying Austin," I said with a smile and sat up.

Silence filled us for a moment before Austin hissed. I turned and looked at him, him sitting up, trying to grab his back.

"Agh," he groaned

"Austin? What's wrong?"

I then heard the sound of something burning, skin burning. Austin leaned forward, putting his arm in his mouth, trying to control his screams. I quickly got up and got behind him, moving his arm out of his mouth before taking off his shirt, throwing it somewhere in the room. I looked down his back, trying to find the imprint that goes dark, taking me a minute. Austin groaned through his pain, trying his best to not scream or yell. Once I found the mark on his right upper shoulder, Austin's pain stopped and so did his groaning. I gently ran my fingers over the mark, Austin hissing quickly.

"What is it?" he asked me after a moment of catching his breath.

"Ice," I replied.

**************

We ran down the white stairs moments later, hearing banging on the door. Austin ran to the door, putting on his shirt.

"Austin!" "Open up, hurry!

Austin ran into the door, opening the door, revealing Alex, and Robert holding Tyler, blood running out of his mouth and down his chin.

"About time!" Alex said as him and Robert walked through the door, and to the right to the glass room. Austin grabbed a part of Tyler, helping them into the room.

I followed behind as they put Tyler on a bright blue velvet couch that sat next to the see-through piano. Tyler grabbing his torn torso and coughing up more blood. Three long deep scratches down his tummy, he was bleeding heavily now. Alex in a moment was right next to Austin, but ran out of the room, leaving back frames of himself running. I stared at him the whole time, watching the frames move as he came running back in with medical supplies.
