Chapter 12: 2018!

Normani Phillips POV
Last day of 2017 and I'm so happy. This year has been great so far. I've let my hair down and I'm really excited to embark on new adventures this year. I gently rocked my niece to sleep before I knew it, she was knocked out. I got up and gently placed her in the crib. I exited her nursery and made my way downstairs to where half my family were.

"Is she asleep?" Gabrielle asked.

"Yeah, she went just like that." I clicked my fingers.

"Hey, Aunt Mani, wanna play?" LJ waved his PS4 pad up in the air.

"I'm okay, you'll probably beat me, anyway." I smiled taking a seat at the table.

"So, where are we going tonight?" Trinity sat beside me at the dinning table.

"We're heading to the club. You coming?" I picked up my phone from the table.

"I was gonna go out with another friend, actually." She shook her head.

"Oh, okay." I shrugged.

"Who you going with?" She questioned.

"Nathan, Traci, Angelo and his girlfriend.".

"Cool." She slowly nodded her head.

"I'm gonna head out. I wanna head to the mall to buy a few things for my niece." I got up and grabbed my Parka Coat.

"Okay." Trinity gave me a side hug then walked off to where Gabrielle was.

"You heading out?" Eddie came over.

"Yeah, I'm gonna head to the mall then head home." I nodded my head.

"Get home safely." He kissed my forehead before walking into the living room.

I exited the house and quickly got into the car as it was cold. Once I got inside, I warmed the car up then sighed not feeling like going anymore. I literally wanted to sleep before going out so that I'm wide and awake. Instead, I drove back home.

I walked into Nathan's house and smiled at him before heading to the living room where everyone was. I gave them all a hug but waved at Bria instead. I put my things down beside me and took a seat on the couch. We decided on getting ready at Nathan's seeing as we'd al get drunk and we could crash at his place.

"What time are we leaving?" Angelo looked at Nathan who had his arms around Traci.

"We're leaving around 11:30." Nathan answered.

"Mani, you got my colour?" Traci removed Nathan's arm and sat next to me.

"Yeah, I got it earlier." I nodded my head pulling out a lipstick from my makeup bag.

"Thank you so much." She gave me a hug.

"No problem." I smiled.

"What time is it?" Bria mumbled to herself.

"I'm gonna start getting ready." She got up.

"Yeah, I'll catch y'all later." Angelo walked off behind her.

"I'm gonna go and get ready too. I know I'm gonna take really long." I got up picking up my bags.

"Alright." Traci and Nathan nodded their heads.

I carried my bags upstairs to one of the empty guest bedrooms and closed the door with my foot behind me. I put the bags on the floor next to the bed and sat down, closing my eyes for a minute. Then, I got up and made my way to the bathroom and took care of my hygiene. After coming out, I heard my iPhone ringing. I glanced at the caller ID and saw that Curtis wanted to FaceTime. I answered the call and held the phone up.
