Chapter 17: consequences

Hi I'm back with another chapter. I'm now on city of ashes aka book two which I think I will make it a little easier to convey it into my story because there's no real adaption of it to get confused with it to influence my writing like with city of bones and the movie butI am going to add in my own lines and scenes to ensure that I can properly adaptable to my style, it's like a mash between the movie, the books and my head so it might not follow the same order of events or be exact because it is my own work. I've kinda just decided to do my own thing in this chapter because of the story didn't work exactly and I just felt this was more fitting and a little different so hopefully you enjoy it. Chapter 17: consequences

" I can't believe that actually worked, I mean I had a feeling like it would but still" Clary said still in disbelief about the fact her new rune and worked as her and Jace walked back into Luke's apartment

" would you mind tell us how it worked?" Piper said completely baffled about how her sister could suddenly create runes when no shadowhunter should be able to as she began to worry about this all

" I don't know, I just did what you always do when you use a rune I guess" she said confused by their reaction as she tried to work out if she had done something differently from normal but came up blank

" except that isn't a rune or at least it's not one that's been documented in the gray book" Jace said looking back on where it had all happened as he tried to work how she got rid of the demon like that

" Clary, do you remember seeing this rune anywhere before now?" Piper said trying to give her a chance to explain how she had created the rune as she worried about what all of this could mean

" honestly I've been having this same dream, mom was there and so was the rune. I just knew tonight that it would work and how to use it" she said digging a bigger hole for herself as she looked at them

" that doesn't make any sense, shadowhunters have the ability to use rune but not create them. Only the angles themselves can create runes or so it's said" Magnus said joining them in this dilemma

" unless there is another explanation for all of this, the seelie queen was trying bait me by telling me about Valentine and his experiments" Piper said looking to Jace who knew what she was talking about

" you're talking about the fact that you thought you had demon blood in you? You think he did something like that to Clary?" Jace said wondering where she was going with this particular thought

" I don't know but it's possible right?" Piper said beginning to pace around the room slightly as she suddenly felt restless with the amount of energy she had from the whole situation that was going on

" or it could have just been a fluke right?" Clary said suddenly getting scared about what all of this could mean as she thought about how she wasn't the only one with strange abilities right now

" we have another problem right now, Izzy and Alec are on their way along with their parents" Jace said after pulling out his phone as he knew this couldn't be good for Piper who wasn't meant to be out

" Wait, Robert is here too now? I guess I'll just head back to Magnus's and pretend I've been there the whole time" she said grabbed her things getting ready to leave as soon as possible just in case

" or I could portal us over to my place and you could whammy them into believing it happened there, I still need help with Maia and Luke" Magnus said knowing something like this was going to happen
